Knife gate valve with dead-end service
A knife gate valve with an interior channel divided by an interior channel configured to receive a valve gate, the valve gate can travel along the interior channel. A removable first wear ring is disposed on the upstream side of the interior channel, the first wear ring substantially lining the upstream side of the interior channel; and a removable second wear ring disposed on the downstream side of the interior channel, the second wear ring substantially lining the downstream side of the interior channel; a first retainer ring adjacent to the gate on the upstream side of the valve; and a second retainer ring adjacent to the gate on the downstream side of the valve is disclosed. Other embodiments are also shown.
Gate valve and method of repairing same
A gate valve for controlling flow of a fluid therethrough is provided. The gate valve includes a valve body having an outer surface, a bore, a valve cavity, a first seat pocket, a second seat pocket, and first and second fluid ports extending from the outer surface to the first and second seat pockets, respectively. First and second seats are positioned respectively within the first and second seat pockets. The seats include circumferential fluid channels and one or more conduits in fluid communication with the fluid ports for permitting a repair fluid to be injected into the ports to the faces of the seats. A gate is slidably positioned within the valve cavity between the first seat and the second seat for controlling flow of a fluid through the valve. Sand shields are also provided at the rear of the seats to capture particulates and to bias the seats against the gate.
PERIMETER SEATED KNIFE GATE VALVE
Technologies are generally described for perimeter seated knife gate valve. Perimeter and transverse seals may be formed together as a single-piece or as two separate pieces. Wire-reinforced and with a rectangular cross section, the perimeter seal (portion) may fit into a corresponding groove in the single-piece body of the valve. Transverse seal (portion) may include two channels formed as side grooves or tubular channels to accept packing material, which energize the seal and are isolated from the fluid stream. In the two-piece version, a bottom groove of the transverse seal may be used to interlock both pieces. The shape and structure of the seal may allow single-piece valve body.
Gasketed spectacle plate assembly for industrial pipe systems
A spectacle plate assembly and method for its production includes adhesively bonding a ring-shaped flexible sealing gasket to cover all, or substantially all of a contoured gasket receiving surface that is formed on both sides of the circular plate, the upper surfaces of the contoured gasket receiving surface lying above the plane of the surface of the adjacent plate to provide a unitary structure in preparation for positioning the plate between the opposing faces of a pair of stationary flanges.
Front loaded seat seal
A flow control device includes a valve body, a first port disposed on the valve body, a second port disposed on the valve body, a gate disposed within the valve body and configured to control a flow of a fluid between the first port and the second port, and a seat disposed between the gate and the valve body, the seat including a first surface configured to form a circumferential seal with the valve body and a second surface configured to form a face seal with the gate. A method includes receiving, by a sealing assembly forming a circumferential seal between a seat and a valve body, a first force from a collar disposed on the seat in response to a first movement of a gate, and moving, in response to receiving the first force, the sealing assembly in a first direction of the first force.
Gate valve
Provided are a highly durable and compact gate valve and a method of installing the gate valve. The gate valve includes a valve cage 12 accommodating a valve body and a sealing band 13 covering between a pair of fluid pipes W and the valve cage 12 under a sealed state. The valve cage 12 includes a pair of protruding tubular portion 12B protruding in a pipe axis direction X from a valve cage body. The sealing band 13 includes a pair of main body portions B1 covering the respective fluid pipes W1, W2 and the protruding tubular portions 12B under a sealed state and a connecting portion B3 connecting the pair of main body portions B1 and formed unitarily therewith and is constituted of a plurality of split members Ba split in a circumferential direction of the fluid pipes W.
TRANSLATING CAVITY VALVE
A valve assembly includes a valve body and an opening extending through the valve body along a longitudinal axis. The valve assembly also includes a valve member arranged within the opening, the valve member being movable, along the longitudinal axis, between an open position and a closed position. The valve assembly includes an upper seal positioned to seal against at least a first portion of the valve body. The valve assembly includes a lower seal positioned to seal against at least a second portion of the valve body, wherein both the upper seal and the lower seal travel with the valve member as the valve member moves between the open position and a closed position.
Valve insert system
A system including a valve. The valve includes a valve body having an interior volume and a bore along a first axis. A stem extends along a second axis and a flow control element couples to the stem. The stem selectively moves the flow control element through the interior volume between a closed position and an open position relative to the bore. A valve insert system retains a pressurized lubricant in the interior volume.
Gate Valve
In embodiments, a gate valve includes a body including a flow passage from a first opening to a second opening, and a gate channel from the flow passage to a third opening, the gate channel having a central longitudinal axis and a ridge defining a perimeter of the opening. A valve cover can fit over the third opening and exert a clamping force on the ridge, the clamping force having a first force component perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis and a second force component parallel with the central longitudinal axis. In embodiments, a valve cover includes a first mating surface configured to extend over an opening of the gate valve, a first clamping section extending at a first non-parallel angle from a first side of the first mating surface, and a second clamping section extending at a second non-parallel angle from a second side of the first mating surface.
