SEAL OF A VACUUM VALVE AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
20180202558 · 2018-07-19 ·

A vacuum valve including a valve seat having a valve opening defining an opening axis and a first seal surface circumferential around the valve opening and having a closure element having a second seal surface corresponding to the first seal surface. The first seal surface and/or the second seal surface has an at least two-component material composite having a metallic carrier component and a polymer-based seal material. The metallic carrier component defines an inner and outer carrier region and has a plurality of defined depressions extending in the inner carrier region by the seal surface. The seal material is applied to the carrier component such that a defined profile of the seal material is provided on the outer carrier region and a part of the seal material extends at least into a part of the depressions of the carrier component and fills them at least halfway.

MAGNETIC SELF-CENTERING VALVE
20180100589 · 2018-04-12 ·

A magnetic valve comprises an axially magnetized valve body comprising a bore and an axially magnetized gate moveable relative to the bore. The gate is dimensioned to cover the bore in a closed state and expose the bore in an open state. The valve body and the gate are configured to self-align along their central axes.

VALVE, IN PARTICULAR VACUUM VALVE
20180051813 · 2018-02-22 · ·

A valve (1), in particular a vacuum valve, having at least one valve housing (2), at least one closure element (3), and at least one valve seat (4). The valve seat (4) surrounds at least one valve opening (5) of the valve (1), and the closure element (3) can be moved back and forth between at least one open position, in which the closure element (3) at least partly releases the valve opening (5), and a closed position, in which a sealing surface (8) of the closure element (3) is pressed against the valve seat (4) in order to close the valve opening (5), by at least one closure element drive (6, 7). At least one surface (9) of the valve (1) has an average surface roughness RZ less than or equal to 0.4 um, preferably less than or equal to 0.25 um.

DLC-COATED GATE VALVE IN PETROLEUM PRODUCTION OR WATER INJECTION
20180017172 · 2018-01-18 · ·

The invention provides a gate valve (1) for control of petroleum production or water injection, distinctive in that at least one surface subject to slidng in operation of the valve comprises a top layer coating of diamond like carbon (DLC). The DLC contains hydrogen, preferably more than 16 atom-% and more preferred more than 17 atom-%. It is further directed to a method of commissioning or operating a gate valve according to the invention, and use of a diamond like carbon (DLC) top layer coating on at least one surface subject to sliding in operation of the gate valve. Valve parts have a tendency of sticking, adhering or cold welding together, which result in high friction. The aim of the invention is to reduce or eliminate friction problems occurring with time or operation cycles, when using a full scale gate valve.

Fuel pump for a direct injection system

A valve assembly for a fuel pump and having: a one-way outlet closing valve, which only allows fuel to flow out; a one-way pressure relief valve, which only allows fuel to flow in; a connector, which has a housing on the inside; and a valve disc, which engages the housing of the connector and has a plurality of through outlet holes and a through relief hole. A shutter of the outlet closing valve consists of a flexible sheet, which is fixed to the valve disc and has: a plurality of shutting portions arranged in the area of the outlet holes; a peripheral mounting portion with an annular shape; a plurality of outer connection portions, each connecting the peripheral mounting portion to a corresponding shutting portion; a central mounting portion; and a plurality of inner connection portions, each connecting the central mounting portion to a corresponding shutting portion.

Gate valve for controlling the passage of liquid
09845890 · 2017-12-19 · ·

A gate valve includes a valve body having a fluid passage for the passage of liquid, sludge and/or fecal matter and a substantially flat slider. The slider is slideable between an opened and a closed position in order to open or block the fluid passage, respectively. The slider includes two opposite straight edges via which the slider is slidably guided in the valve body surrounding it. The slider is substantially made from a plastic material. The slider includes flanges along each of the two opposite straight edges for providing rigidity to the slider.

CERAMIC SLIT VALVE DOORS AND ASSEMBLIES

Slit valve doors including a door body made entirely of an Al.sub.2O.sub.3 ceramic material, and a seal coupled to the door body. Slit valve door assemblies and slit valve assemblies including the slit valve door are disclosed, as are numerous other aspects.

WELDABLE, LOW LEAD AND LEAD-FREE PLUMBING FITTINGS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME

A plumbing fitting that includes: a fitting body having a plurality of ends; and a cover element joined to the body with a weld in proximity to and spaced from an interface in contact with a potable or non-potable aqueous medium. The body and the cover element are fabricated from a lead-free or low lead, copper or copper-silicon alloy having a thermal conductivity of 45 W/(m*K). Further, the weld has a centerline that is 6.4 mm from the interface and/or a heat affected zone that has an average width 400 m and is spaced from the interface. The plumbing fittings include but are not limited to ball valves, gate valves, elbows, check valves and other fittings without stems.

FLUID-HANDLING COMPONENTS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE

A method of manufacturing a fluid-handling component includes forming a liner via an additive manufacturing process and forming a body about the liner via a powder compaction process. The body may be coupled to the liner via diffusion bonds during the powder compaction process. The fluid-handling component may be constructed for use in a mineral extraction system.
