IMPROVEMENTS IN, OR RELATING TO, SLIDING SPOOL VALVES, AND METHODS THEREFOR
Disclosed is a spool valve to valve a fluid between at least one inlet port and at least one outlet port, having a bore with a spool operably associated therein. The bore has one or more inlet ports and at least one outlet port. Located in the bore is at least one in-bore seal, the seal fluidly sealing on a seal outer diameter to an inside diameter of the bore, and selectively fluidly sealing on a seal inside diameter to a spool outside diameter. Present also is at least one spacer located in the bore, adjacent the at least one in-bore seal having a fluid communication from a spacer internal diameter to a spacer external diameter with at least one inlet port, or the at least one outlet port. The spool moves to allow or prevent flow from an inlet port to outlet port.
ANTI-CAVITATION CAGE FOR VALVE ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
An anti-cavitation cage for a valve assembly. The anti-cavitation cage includes a body having a plurality of slots, a first end, and a second end. At least one slot of the plurality of slots includes an inside surface having a lattice structure. The lattice structure is one of uniform in grade through the at least one slot or a graded type of lattice structure varying in density from a first portion to a second portion. The anti-cavitation cage having these features is a single component.
Valve assemblies to supply fluid pressure to components in multiple transmission operating modes
Transmissions, filter assemblies for transmissions, and valve assemblies for transmissions are disclosed herein. A transmission includes an input shaft, an output shaft, and a hydraulic system. The input shaft is configured to receive rotational power supplied by a drive unit. The output shaft is coupled to the input shaft and configured to provide rotational power supplied to the input shaft to a load. The hydraulic system is configured to supply fluid to one or more fluid demand devices coupled between the input shaft and the output shaft in one or more operating modes of the transmission. The hydraulic system includes a filter assembly having a filter element and a valve assembly fluidly coupled to the filter element.
Variable drain flow restrictor
A proportioning valve for a reverse osmosis system that controls the production of product water by the differential pressure across the purification membrane. By sensing increasing tank pressure to actuate the proportioning valve, the flow of waste water is restricted. Placement of seals within the cavity of the valve, as well as placement of waste water inlet and outlet ports, protects tension components that provide reverse tank pressure from waste water exposure. A needle valve assembly responsive to an actuating assembly that senses tank pressure removes the need for an inlet tank water port while restricting water flow.

Choke with single crystal flow conduits
A choke includes a cage having a plurality of openings extending therethrough, a first fluid port and a second fluid port, the openings in the cage fluidly interposed between the first and second fluid ports, and a selectively positionable blocking member positioned with respect to the openings to selectively overlie all of a portion of the openings, wherein the surface of the opening extending through the cage are a single crystal material. The single crystal material may be provided as an insert, having an opening therethrough, secured in position with respect to the cage.
Thermostatic valve
The invention concerns a thermostatic valve (1) comprising a closed hollow body (2), a first opening leading into the hollow body (2), referred to as the inlet opening (4), a second opening leading into the hollow body (2), referred to as the main outlet (5), a third opening, substantially perpendicular to the second opening, leading into the hollow body (2), referred to as the bypass outlet (7), and a seal (11) allowing the inlet opening (4) to be alternately separated from the main outlet (5) or the bypass outlet (7). The seal (11) comprises a thermostatic actuator (12) and a skirt (13) which is made of plastic material and has at least one window (19) suitable for being traversed by a fluid, the skirt (13) being capable of sliding in the hollow body (2), along an axis that substantially coincides with the axis of the thermostatic actuator (12), between a first position in which the skirt (13) seals the main outlet (5), such that the fluid flows between the inlet opening (4) and the bypass outlet (7), and a second position in which the skirt (13) leaves the main outlet (5) open and seals the bypass outlet (7), such that the fluid from the inlet opening (4) can pass through the window (19) and flow through the main outlet (5).
Low shear control valve
A flow control device includes a stack of annular discs positioned in a flow path. Each disc includes fluid passageways extending between inner and outer perimeters of the disc, with each passageway defining a flow axis extending out of the disc and radially offset from a central axis of the discs. A plug is moveable relative to the discs between closed and open positions. In the closed position, a cylindrical section of the plug is positioned to block fluid flow through the annular discs. In the open position, the annular discs and a tapered section of the plug collectively define an annular vortex chamber. The fluid passageways in the annular discs and the tapered section of the plug collectively impart a rotational flow when the plug is in the open position and as fluid exits the annular discs.
Valve of a hydraulic circuit with constant pressure drop
A pressure valve including a body including at least one admission opening and at least one discharge opening, a slide valve sliding in the body, the slide valve defining a chamber, with the body, and including a head arranged facing a seat of the admission opening, a spring pressing the head of the slide valve against the seat, a lip for applying the head to the seat. The head includes at least one hole bringing the chamber into communication with the discharge opening, each hole being arranged facing the seat and downstream from the lip in relation to the admission opening in order to reduce the pressure in the chamber by a Venturi effect when the slide valve is open.
FLOW CONTROL VALVE WITH EROSION PROTECTION
The disclosure herein generally relates to flow control valves having mechanisms to prevent, inhibit, reduce the likelihood or extent of, and/or protect against erosion of components of the flow control valve, for example, due to the effects of leakage flow.
