Gate valve
The present invention discloses a gate valve with a first side and a second side relative the throughbore. A circular body cavity is on the first side and a rectangular body cavity on the second side and a portion of the first side whereby the gate is operable to move up and down within the body cavities. Due to the rectangular body cavity, the seats are slimmer than the gate. A skirt assembly is used which is inserted over the gate to cover the gate opening when the gate is moved to the closed position to prevent debris and other contaminants from entering the body cavity. Four U-shaped seals are mounted to provide that the gate valve is a bidirectional gate valve with upstream sealing having back up downstream sealing in case an upstream seal fails.

VALVE PLATE
A valve plate has a plate portion with a front side elastomeric seal fitted thereon, and a connection apparatus arranged at the rear side for connecting the valve plate to a carrier apparatus of a vacuum valve. The connection apparatus includes first and second elongate connection portions, the first connection portion is located at one side and the second connection portion is located at the other side of the longitudinal center of the plate portion, with each being connected to the plate portion with the two spaced-apart ends thereof. The connection portions are spaced apart from the plate portion in the region between the two ends thereof, with a respective slot formed between the plate portion and the respective connection portion, and have in a central region of the longitudinal extent thereof a connection structure for connection to an end portion of a respective valve rod of the carrier apparatus.

VALVE PLATE
A valve plate has a plate portion with an elastomeric seal on a front face and an elongated connecting portion spaced apart from a rear face by a slot for fastening the valve plate to a valve rod. The extension of the connecting portion in the width direction is defined by opposing first and second side edges of the connecting portion when viewed in a plan view of the rear face of the plate portion. A connecting structure is configured in the connecting portion in a central region of the longitudinal extension of the first side edge of the connecting portion for connecting the connecting portion to an end portion of the valve rod. The connecting portion is reinforced in a region of its extension in the width direction adjoining the second side edge, relative to a region of its extension in the width direction adjoining the first side edge.

VALVE FOR CONTROLLING FLUID FLOW AND USE THEREOF, AND VALVE INSERT FOR A VALVE HOUSING FOR CONTROLLING FLUID FLOW
The invention relates to a valve for controlling a fluid flow, comprising at least one valve housing having at least one inlet and one outlet side, and a valve insert for regulating the fluid flow between the inlet side and the outlet side, which valve is arranged within the valve housing. The valve insert comprises at least one first element, designed as a hollow body, and a second element, wherein the second element is arranged within the first hollow-body-shaped element. Furthermore, the valve insert is arranged within the valve housing in such a way that the first element is axially fixed in the valve housing, and the second element is arranged so as to be rotationally fixed in the valve housing. The first element has at least one opening along the circumference of the first element for passing the fluid flow through and is designed to be rotatable relative to the second element; the second element is designed to be axially movable relative to the first element.

Sprung gate valves movable by an actuator
Valves having a sprung gate of various constructions are disclosed. In one embodiment, the sprung gate includes a first endless elastic band having an inner perimeter defining an open space sandwiched between a first gate member and a second gate member that each define an opening therethrough in an open position portion thereof. The first endless elastic band is sandwiched therebetween with its open space oriented for alignment with the opening in both of the first and second gate members, which are aligned with one another to form a passage through the sprung gate. In one aspect, the first endless elastic band in positioned inward a distance from the outer sides of the first and second gate members and spaces the first gate member a distance apart from the second gate member thereby defining a channel having a bottom defined by the first endless elastic band.
Sprung gate valves movable by a solenoid actuator
A sprung gate for a valve having an endless elastic band sandwiched between first and second gate members that each define an opening therethrough in an open position portion thereof, which collectively form a passage through the sprung gate. The first gate member includes a fastener connected to a fastener receiving member of the second gate member thereby securing the first and second gate members together as a unit. This sprung gate unit is operatively connected to an actuator for linear translation within a pocket of a conduit to control fluid flow through the conduit. This assembled device may be manufactured using spin welding to sealingly mate the conduit to a housing enclosing the actuator.
