Fluid flow control devices and related systems and methods

Fluid flow control devices and related systems and methods may include a body or housing and a plug at least partially positioned in the body or housing to define a flow path. In a position of the plug, the plug and the body or housing may collectively define a fluid flow path.

Isolation valve with a dead chamber

An isolation valve includes a dead chamber, including a body with a fluid-passing conduit, a device for obturating the fluid passage in the conduit, which may be actuated between a fluid-passing position and a position for obturating the fluid passage in the conduit. In its obturation position, the obturation device forms a dead chamber. A wall of the obturation device comprises a through-hole, in which is positioned a device for decompression of the dead chamber. A hydrocarbon transport facility includes at least two pipes connected through such an isolation valve with a dead chamber.

Plug member of gas valve

A plug member of gas valve has an axial bore, a first bore, and a second bore, wherein the first bore and the second bore are located in a radial direction of the plug member, and communicate with the axial bore, respectively. A diameter of the first bore is larger than that of the second bore. A first guiding slot and at least one first oil groove are recessed into the outer peripheral surface of the plug member, wherein the first guiding slot has a first end communicating with the first bore, and a second end near the second bore without physically communicating with the second end. The at least one first oil groove is near the second end of the first guiding slot without physically communicating with the first guiding slot or the second bore. Whereby, the first oil groove provides space for receiving lubricant.

Regulating valve for a gas cooking appliance

Regulating valve for a gas cooking appliance suitable for supplying different types of combustible gas such as, for example, natural gas or liquefied gas. A valve body of the valve has an inlet conduit, an outlet conduit and a cavity wherein a rotary regulating member is housed. The regulating member includes a plurality of inlet paths communicated with the inlet conduit which, by means of the rotation of the regulating member, allows varying gas flow in the outlet conduit. According to some implementations, the inlet path of the regulating member corresponding to a minimum gas flow is in one and the same angular and axial position for each of the different types of combustible gases.

SELF-CLEANING DOUBLE BLOCK AND BLEED VALVE
20180045320 · 2018-02-15 ·

Disclosed is a self-cleaning double block and bleed valve. The valve includes a plug modified to divert a portion of the fluid flowing through the valve into and through a cavity located beneath the plug. The diverted fluid passing along a secondary flow path beneath the plug and subsequently rejoining the primary flow path. The diverted fluid removes debris, sediment or sludge from the cavity beneath the plug.

AN IMPROVED CONICAL ELEMENT FOR GAS PASSAGE IN MULTI-STAGE GAS TAPS
20250003506 · 2025-01-02 ·

The present invention relates to a gas tap (1) for domestic and industrial gas cookers, and it generally consists of assembling a body (1.3) having a gas inlet (1.3.1) and one or two gas outlets (1.3.2); a shaft (1.1); a cover (1.2); a conical element (1.4) and other parts. According to said gas tap (1), when the user rotates the button, the shaft (1) therein rotates such that the channelled conical element rotates in each rotation angle, resulting in a gas flow at different flow rates. Thanks to the channelled conical element (1) of the invention, a step gas tap is provided, which provides a combined solution to the problems of the absence of ideal flow rate decrease, instability in the flame, the formation of unstable flames due to the formation of unwanted peaks in the flow values, and the low number of products.

Linear Displacement Valve

A linear displacement valve for a vehicle includes a body defining an inlet corridor and an outlet corridor and a seat disposed within the body between the inlet corridor and the outlet corridor. The seat defines an opening configured to fluidly couple the inlet corridor with the outlet corridor. The linear displacement valve further includes a plug movable relative to the seat. The plug includes a perimeter surface configured to abut and seal against the seat to close the opening and a flow guide surface having a first portion and a second portion. The first portion of the flow guide surface is disposed between the second portion of the flow guide surface and the perimeter surface. The first portion has a concave curvature, and the second portion has a convex curvature.

Valves With Multi-Directional Ball Check

A valve with a valve body in which is rotatably mounted a valve member, the valve member having therein a ball check for selectively preventing fluid flow through the valve.

PLUG MEMBER OF GAS VALVE

A plug member of a gas valve, having an axial bore, a first bore and a second bore located in a radial direction thereof to respectively communicate with the axial bore, and a first guiding slot and a second guiding slot recessed into an outer peripheral surface thereof. The first bore is larger than the second bore, and communicates with one end of the first guiding slot, while another end thereof is near the second bore. The first guiding slot becomes narrower from the first end to the second end. The second guiding slot has one end communicating with the second bore, and another end located between said first end and said second end.
