Rotary Plug Valve with Labyrinth

A rotary valve has a valve plug that is rotatable in a valve body about a rotational axis. Surface features of the valve plug and surface features of the valve body cooperate to provide a bearing by which the valve plug is rotatably supported with respect to the valve body. In addition, each of the valve plug and the valve body include a plurality of annular projections that encircle the plain bearing and axially overlap one another so as to form a labyrinth that surrounds the bearing. The labyrinth forms a fluid path that collects abrasive particles suspended in the fluid passing through the valve, whereby wear of the valve is reduced.

Quick disconnect fluid coupling devices described herein. The fluid couplings are configured for use in fluid systems for the purpose of providing a low-spill quick disconnect coupling. The fluid couplings include portions that are pivotable in relation to each other to open and close a fluid pathway through the fluid couplings. Particular embodiments of these fluid coupling can be configured to improve medical fluid handling equipment because the fluid coupling devices can be connected and disconnected (e.g., multiple times) while minimizing fluid spillage.

A first buffer portion is formed between the first port and the external flow path corresponding to the first port. The first buffer portion covers the entire first port and serves as a space having a circumferential width larger than a circumferential width of a valve flow path.

A flush valve includes a valve housing defining a fluid passageway between a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. The fluid passageway includes a diaphragm valve seat disposed between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. The flush valve additionally includes a diaphragm assembly including a diaphragm and a disc. The diaphragm includes a primary opening and a bypass opening. The primary opening receives the disc therein and the bypass opening allowing water under pressure supplied to the fluid inlet to pass from a fluid inlet side of the diaphragm into a chamber in the fluid passageway. The flush valve additionally includes a relief valve configured to selectively control fluid flow from the chamber to the fluid outlet. The relief valve comprises a stationary valve element and a rotatable valve element each having at least one opening and being rotationally positionable relative to one another to regulate fluid flow.

Stop/check/expansion plug valve

A valve for a refrigeration system includes a valve body, a guide seat arranged in the valve body, a piston plug that has a metering slot and is axially movable relative to the guide seat to open and close the valve, and an adjustable valve stem that is axially movable to engage the piston plug. The piston plug is movable between a closed position in which the piston plug is seated against the guide seat and engaged with the valve stem to prevent fluid flow through the valve, a metering position in which the piston plug is moved away from the guide seat and engaged with the valve stem to enable a predetermined amount of forward fluid flow through the valve, and a check valve position in which the piston plug is seated against the guide seat to prevent reverse fluid flow through the valve.

The plurality of openings include a large opening and one or more small openings smaller than the large opening. The centers of the small openings are axially offset.

A valve used in combination with a vessel containing fluid in the interior and a parameter measuring device. The valve allows the device to be exposed to the fluid in the interior of the vessel. The device may be installed into the valve, and the valve may be fitted to the side of the vessel. The valve improves upon other prior art by providing provisions for purging air trapped in the internal cavity of the valve. The valve includes a purge position, which provides a smaller opening from the interior of the vessel to the internal cavity and an air path to the external atmosphere. Fluid may fill the valve pushing trapped air out of the valve until the majority of the trapped air is expelled.

An exemplary compounding system and method can include a transfer set that includes a manifold for assisting in transferring a plurality of ingredients from supply container(s) to a final container. The manifold can include a first channel in fluid communication with at least one primary ingredient, and a second channel in fluid communication with a plurality of secondary ingredients. The first channel and second channel can be in fluid isolation from each other such that the at least one primary ingredient does not mix with the plurality of secondary ingredients within the manifold. The transfer set can include a plurality of inlet lines in fluid communication with the manifold and two outlet lines configured for connection to two separate pumps and eventually being in fluid communication with the final container.

A distribution valve with an integrated flowmeter unit, which exhibits a main flow channel, through which a medium can flow in a main flow direction, and a secondary flow channel branching from the latter. The distribution valve includes a distribution valve housing containing a main pipe, a first conduit pipe connection, a second conduit pipe connection and at least one branch lying in between. The main flow channel in the main pipe runs from the first conduit pipe connection to the second conduit pipe connection. The branch empties into a first housing part, which includes an outlet. The outlet of the first housing part empties into a second housing part, which accommodates a flowmeter body and includes an outlet that forms a third conduit pipe connection. The secondary flow channel runs from the at least one branch of the main pipe to the outlet of the second housing part.
