Double piece retainer for compact valve
10718437 · 2020-07-21 · ·

A compact manifold ball valve having a valve body, valve ball, valve stem and two piece retainer system; the valve body including a valve chamber having first and second ends, and a first flow passage intersecting the valve chamber and valve ball. The valve ball can be trunnion supported and include pair of movable seat assemblies that can be used to seal the valve ball to the valve body. A two piece retainer can be used to hold in place the valve components, the two piece retainer including a first section which moves only linearly along with a second retainer piece that is a threaded ring that rotationally locks in place the first section of the two piece retainer. The two pieces of the retainer can be symmetrically located about the centerline of the flow passage of the valve body.

RETENTION MECHANISM FOR NOISE ATTENUATION DOME IN FLUID FLOW CONTROL DEVICE
20200182378 · 2020-06-11 ·

A fluid flow control device includes a valve body defining an inlet, an outlet, and a fluid flow path extending therebetween, a rotatable valve member at least partially disposed in the valve body, an attenuator operably coupled to the valve body, and a retention member disposed within the valve body. The rotatable valve member is rotatable within the fluid flow path from a shut-off position to an open position for controlling the flow of fluid through the fluid flow path. The attenuator defines an attenuator body that includes a plurality of noise-reducing apertures. The retention member is positioned against a portion of the attenuator body to retain the attenuator within the valve body.

FLOW CHANNEL SWITCHING VALVE AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING THE SAME

The present invention provides a flow channel switching valve with a reduced number of components as well as a reduced weight, and a method for assembling the same. A valve shaft adapted to be coupled to a valve element so as to transmit torque of a rotary drive portion to the valve element is inserted through a vertical through-hole, which penetrates through the valve element in the direction of the rotation axis O (i.e., vertical direction), and through a fit-insertion hole provided in a valve body. Then, a drive gear that forms the rotary drive portion is fixed to the upper coupling portion of the valve shaft protruding from the fit-insertion hole so that the valve shaft is rotatably supported with respect to the valve body.

Serviceable and Adjustable Full Bore Ball Valve Trim Arrangement

Embodiments of the invention provide a trim arrangement for a ball valve. The trim arrangement can include a first seat assembly having a first seat, a threaded collar, and a biasing element. The first seat can be in contact with a first side of a ball element, and the threaded collar can be threadably coupled to the first seat and can be in engagement with the biasing element. The trim arrangement further includes a second seat assembly having a second seat in contact with a second side of the ball element. The threaded collar can have a profile that is configured to non-rotatably and slidably engage a corresponding profile of a collar bore of the valve body to prevent rotation of the threaded collar relative to the valve body.

Ball valve having an adjustable trim arrangement

Embodiments of the invention provide a trim arrangement for a ball valve. The trim arrangement includes a first seat assembly having a first seat, a threaded collar, and a biasing element. The first seat is in contact with a first side of a ball element, and the threaded collar is threadably coupled to the first seat and in engagement with the biasing element. The trim arrangement further includes a second seat assembly having a second seat in contact with a second side of the ball element. The biasing element biases the first seat toward the first side of the ball element to provide a contact stress between the first seat and the first side of the ball element and the second seat and the second side of the ball element. The contact stress provided by the biasing element is adjustable by rotating the first seat.

A flow control valve including a main valve and a pilot valve for controlling a piston of the main valve. The valve maybe controlled through a control system based upon measured pressures or temperatures in a system supplied or controlled by the valve. The valve may be operated as a pressure independent control valve, using pressure measurement from a supply line and exit line or return line of a hydronic HVAC system as inputs to the control system, which is operable to maintain a constant pressure drop across the system, or the valve may be operated as a temperature independent control valve, using temperature measurements from a supply line and exit line or return line of a hydronic HVAC system as inputs to the control system which is operable to maintain a constant temperature drop across the system.
