Combination control and check valve assembly for a wet piping system

A combination control and check valve assembly for a wet piping system includes a control valve in the form of a ball valve and a one-way check valve mounted within the flow pathway of the ball valve. A valve actuation assembly is mounted to the valve assembly to selectively rotate the ball valve between the open and closed positions thereof. The valve actuation assembly is mounted to a first side of the valve assembly and rotationally fixed to the ball, whereby rotation of the valve actuation assembly rotates the ball between the open and closed positions. A side opening is formed in a second side of the valve assembly that is angularly spaced from the first side. The side opening is positioned to align with the fluid flow pathway of the ball valve in the closed position thereof to provide access to the check valve.

Further, the weld has a centerline that is 6.4 mm from the interface and/or a heat affected zone that has an average width 400 m and is spaced from the interface. The plumbing fittings include but are not limited to ball valves, gate valves, elbows, check valves and other fittings without stems.

An integral copper press-fit connection ball valve is provided which includes a bronze central body defining a chamber and a flow path between an upstream inlet and a downstream outlet. A ball having a through passageway is positioned in the chamber and adapted to rotate between an open flow position and a closed flow position. A copper inlet press-fit retainer is connected to the inlet, and a copper outlet press-fit retainer is connected to the outlet. A ball valve seat is positioned within an inner diameter of each retainer and adapted to be compressed between the ball and the retainers on respective upstream and downstream sides of the ball for retaining the ball in a correct and functional position.

The disclosure provides for a valve including a surface movably engaged with another surface. A coating is on the surface and is characterized by: a CoF of less than 0.1; a hardness in excess of 1,200 HVN; impermeability to liquids at pressures ranging from 15 and 20,000 psi; a surface finish of 63 or less; and a thickness ranging from 0.5 to 20 mils. The disclosure provides for material constructions including a continuous phase, including a transition metal, and a discontinuous phase, including a solid dry lubricant. The disclosure also provides for a method of depositing a coating that includes depositing a first layer of a coating onto a surface using electroplating, electroless plating, thermal spraying, or cladding, and then depositing a second layer of the coating onto a surface of the first layer using sputtering, ion beam, plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition, cathodic arc, or chemical vapor deposition.

Ball valve with integrated fitting

Embodiments provide a fitting that is integrated into the valve body of a ball valve during the manufacture of the valve body. The fitting and a cartridge may be overmolded to create the valve body. The mold may apply a pressure onto the fitting during the molding process. The fitting may transfer the pressure of the mold onto the cartridge. The fitting may transfer a sufficient amount of force to seal valve seats of the ball valve.

Ball valve assembly

A ball valve assembly includes a duct with a central passage for the flow of fluids. A ball valve is rotatably mounted within the duct. The ball valve has a through bore selectively alignable in an operational position with the central passage to allow flow through the valve assembly. A lateral opening is provided in the duct. A handle attached to the ball valve extends through the lateral opening such that it is accessible from outside the duct to allow rotation of the ball valve. The ball valve, handle and duct are sized so that the ball valve and handle together are insertable into one end of the duct in a first orientation to an intermediate position, from which position and orientation the ball valve and handle together can be manipulated without the ball valve leaving the duct to a final position with a second orientation in which the handle extends out through the lateral opening and the ball valve is in its operational position.

Turbocharger wastegate actuator assembly

A wastegate actuator assembly includes a regulating rod, an arm, and a shaft. The regulating rod includes a proximate end region and a distal end region wherein the proximate end region of the regulating rod may be connected to an actuator. The arm includes a first end region and a second end region. The first end region is pivotally coupled to the distal end region of the regulating rod via a crank pin, a first cup spring, and a second cup spring wherein the first and second cup springs retain a solid lubricant substantially around the crank pin. The regulating rod may move in a linear fashion causing the arm and the shaft to rotate so as to move a wastegate cover connected to the shaft from a closed wastegate duct position (toward the wastegate duct) to an open wastegate duct position (away from the wastegate duct).
