The flow control assembly includes a ball, a seat installed on the ball, and a counterseat. The ball is rotatable between open and closed positions to control flow through the body and the seat and counterseat include mating surfaces that engage when the ball is in the closed position such that the seat seals against the counterseat along the mating surfaces. Further, the mating surface of the counterseat can be a concave surface, the mating surface of the seat can be a convex surface, and at least one of the mating surfaces can have a toroidal contour.

SEALING ASSEMBLY FOR BALL VALVES AND BALL VALVE COMPRISING SUCH A SEALING ASSEMBLY

The present invention relates to sealing valves used in the petroleum and gas extraction industry, in particular but not exclusively, to medium- or high-pressure ball valves. In particular, the present invention relates to a sealing assembly (101, 102) for ball valves (1), and to a ball valve comprising such an improved sealing assembly. The sealing assembly ensures excellent sealing performance at low and high pressures by exclusively using a thermoplastic material sealing element (31), thus completely eliminating the drawbacks which afflict the sealing system of known type, in particular in relation to the reliability of the sealing elements made of elastomeric material.

INTERNALLY HEATED VALVES

Various internally heated valves are disclosed. The internally heated valve can include a heater sleeve within a valve body. The heater sleeve can be electrically heated. The heater sleeve can heat fluid passing through the valve body.

A VALVE SEALING ARRANGEMENT AND A VALVE SEAT

A valve sealing arrangement, including a valve body, and a closing member including a closing member contact surface, and a seat, having a center axis, and provided with a sealing portion with a first sealing surface for making contact with the closing member and a back sealing portion with a second sealing surface for making contact with a surface of the valve body. The seat also includes a bellows between the first sealing surface and the second sealing surface wherein the bellows including bellow members wherein adjacent bellow walls form either inwardly open fold or outwardly open fold and wherein one or more of the bellow members extends in a direction that is oblique to the center axis of the seat.

Multiport valve

Multiport valve with outlets transverse to the inlet useful as a coker switch valve. A sealed lower sleeve assembly provides semi-trunnion ball support. An upper part of the outlet seat recesses is formed in the bonnet, and a lower part in the valve body, which together bias a resilient member to load the seats, independently of end connections. Before bonnet assembly, when the ball is rotated to face a body outlet, there is sufficient space in the seat recesses to insert the seat, slide the seat onto the ball, and then insert the resilient member. When all the seats and resilient members are in place, engagement of the bonnet biases the upper part of the resilient members to load the seat. In valve operation, an enlarged ball outlet bore can straddle two outlet ports and maintain process media flow during switching. Also, methods of assembling, operating, and servicing the valve.

A flow control valve includes a valve body having a first section and a second section attached to the first section. A flow control member is positioned within the valve body and a shaft extends through the valve body and is connected to the flow control member to move the flow control member between an open position and a closed position. A sealing gasket is positioned within the valve body and engages the valve body to prevent the flow of fluid between the first section and the second section. The sealing gasket has an annular metallic body having an inner surface and an opposing outer surface, the outer surface defining a primary sealing surface, a groove formed in the outer surface, and an insert positioned within the groove, the insert defining a secondary sealing surface.

PACKING MODULE AND STUFFING BOX ASSEMBLY
20210010614 · 2021-01-14 ·

A stuffing box assembly for a valve includes a stuffing box and a packing module. The packing module carries one or more seals to engage with the stuffing box and a valve stem extending through the stuffing box. The packing module is able to be installed into, and removed from, the stuffing box as a single assembly. A valve stem can be formed with an integral ball on one end for engaging with a valve seat. The seals of the packing module create a fluid-tight seal against the valve stem and the stuffing box to inhibit fluid leakage through the stuffing box.

Valve device

A valve device includes: a ball valve having a ball face shaped in a convex spherical surface; and a valve seat having a seat face shaped in a concave spherical surface. The seat face is pressed onto the ball face. The ball valve is rotated to open a valve by communicating a valve opening defined in the ball valve and a seat opening defined in the valve seat with each other, and to close the valve by stop the communication. A diameter of the seat opening 2 is smaller than a diameter of the valve opening 1. A curvature radius of the ball face R1 is smaller than or equal to a curvature radius of the seat face is R2.
