Gate valve for use with a grain bin
A gate valve for positioning in the open upper end of a grain bin below the lid thereof which closes the open upper end of the grain bin. The gate valve permits grain to pass downwardly therethrough but which prevents warm moist air from the grain bin from passing upwardly therethrough into a grain spout or deadhead box.
CHECK VALVE FOR PREVENTING SLAM AND WATER HAMMER
The present invention relates to a check valve and, more particularly, to a check valve comprising a main disk and a separate auxiliary disk, the main disk making a rapid closing operation, and the auxiliary disk, which has an area smaller than that of the main disk, making a slow closing operation, thereby reducing the velocity of a reverse flow inside a conduit, right before the disks are finally closed, and preventing a slam (a characteristic phenomenon wherein, when the disks are closed with a bang, an instantaneous increase in pressure wave raises the possibility of piping fracture and causes noise and vibration) of the disks and water hammer.
CONNECTOR FOR TRANSFERRING FLUID AND METHOD OF USE
A connector for transferring fluid and method therefor. The connector may have a first port and a second port which may be coupled together at a main channel with a valve element therein controlling fluid flow through the first port. The first port joins the main channel to provide a fluid path around the valve element and through the second port.
Pressure relief valve
An apparatus for use in venting a compartment in a vehicle includes a housing which at least partially defines an air flow passage. A valve element moves from a closed condition to an open condition to enable air to flow through the air flow passage. The valve element has an inner surface facing the air flow passage when the valve element is in the closed condition. The valve element has an outer surface opposite the inner surface facing away from the air flow passage when the valve element is in the closed condition. A spring wire deflects as the valve element moves from the closed condition toward the open condition and is effective to urge the valve element toward the closed condition. The spring wire extends in a straight line from the housing to the inner surface of the valve element when the valve element is in the closed condition.
SANITARY CHECK VALVE
A sanitary check valve having an open hook hinge coupling the valve disc to the valve body. The open hook hinge comprises a pair of open hook receivers coupled to the valve body, each open hook receiver adapted to receive a respective free end of a pin which is coupled to the valve disc. The open hook hinge prevents separation of valve disc from valve body during operations while permitting thorough cleaning and sanitation of sanitary check valve.

The open hook hinge prevents separation of valve disc from valve body during operations while permitting thorough cleaning and sanitation of sanitary check valve.
Check valve for a pipe section
A check valve between two pipe segments including a valve body and a valve housing. The valve body includes a valve opening through one face with a valve seat therearound, and a wall extending between the faces defining a part of the circumference of the fluid line between the pipe segment ends with a radial opening in the other part of the fluid line circumference having no wall. The valve housing is removably securable over the radial opening whereby the valve body wall and the valve housing together define a closed circumference of the fluid line between the pipe segments. A valve flapper is secured to the valve housing and pivotally biased relative to the valve housing toward closing against the valve seat, whereby the valve flapper is removable through the valve body radial opening when the valve housing is removed from the valve body.
CLAPPER VALVE
A valve assembly adapted for use in oil and gas operations. In one aspect, the valve assembly includes a valve body defining an internal region, an inlet passageway, and an outlet passageway, the inlet and outlet passageways extending into the internal region; a valve seat connected to the valve body and defining a fluid passageway; a clapper extending within the internal region and defining an annular groove; and a seal extending within the annular groove of the clapper and adapted to sealingly engage the valve seat. In an example embodiment, the clapper is actuable between an open configuration, in which fluid flow is permitted through the fluid passageway; and a closed configuration, in which the seal sealingly engages the valve seat to at least partially restrict fluid flow through the fluid passageway.
Adjustable stop for check valve
A check valve comprises a housing, a fluid passage, a seat, a valve member and a stop. The fluid passage extends through the housing. The seat is disposed in the fluid passage. The valve member is positioned in the passage to engage the seat. The stop extends through the housing to engage the valve member. The stop is accessible from outside the housing to adjust a distance the valve member can travel from the seat. In one embodiment, the stop includes a variable stop feature, such as an offset pin or a cam. In another embodiment, the stop includes a pump control valve. In yet another embodiment, the housing includes markings to indicate a position of the stop. The valve member comprises a ball or a poppet in different embodiments.
