Color changing and pressure sensing check valves
A check valve includes an upper housing defining an inlet of the check valve, and a lower housing having a seating portion and defining an outlet of the check valve. The check valve further includes a chamber interposed between and defined by the upper and lower housings for fluidly connecting the inlet and the outlet, and a flexible diaphragm mounted in the chamber. The flexible diaphragm selectively permits fluid flow in a first direction, and prevents fluid backflow in a second direction opposite to the first direction. The flexible diaphragm includes a color changing material, and when the flexible diaphragm is seated on the seating portion and bent due to force of the fluid flowing in the first direction, the flexible diaphragm exhibits a color change.

GAS-FILLED RESILIENT BODY AND USE THEREOF
A gas-filled resilient body and uses thereof are described. The gas-filled resilient body may be used as a valve member, as a spring or as a gas-propelled dispenser.
Check valve assembly
An infusion set check valve assembly includes a self-contained housing that defines inlet ports and an outlet port. The assembly also includes at least one check valve disposed within the self-contained housing between the outlet channel and at least one of the inlet ports. The at least one check valve is configured to open for a first fluid to flow from a first inlet to a patient line via an outlet channel while a second fluid also flows from a second inlet to the patient line via the outlet channel. The at least one check valve closes to prevent the first fluid from flowing to the patient line via the outlet channel while the second fluid flows to the patient line.
System and method for dispensing a mixture of a liquid and an additive and cartridge for use therein
A liquid dispensing system includes at least one container for storing the liquid to be dispensed, the at least one container having a neck defining a fill opening for the liquid. The system includes a liquid dispensing device releasably connectable to the at least one container, an exchangeable cartridge for an additive to be mixed with the stored liquid, where the cartridge is accommodated in the neck, and a piercing member for opening the cartridge. The cartridge includes a one-piece hollow body filled with the additive and with a pressurized gas, and the piercing member is arranged to pierce a wall of the hollow body. A method of dispensing a liquid by using the liquid dispensing system, and a cartridge for use in the liquid dispensing system and/or method.
Vacuum storage bag assembly and vacuum storage system therewith
A vacuum storage bag assembly includes a zipper bag and a vacuum valve. An opening is formed on the zipper bag. The vacuum valve is connected to the zipper bag. The vacuum valve includes a valve seat, a filtrating component and a check valve. The valve seat is disposed on the zipper bag. The valve seat includes a connecting port and a communication channel communicated with the connecting port and with interior of the zipper bag via the opening, and the connecting port is configured to be connected to a vacuum source. The filtrating component is disposed on an upstream portion of the communication channel. The check valve is disposed on a downstream portion of the communication channel and allows fluid to flow from the interior of the zipper bag, through the filtrating component, and to flow out of the connecting port.
FLOW PATH SWITCHING VALVE
The flow path switching valve described herein has a valve chamber with three openings and a valve piston disposed in the valve chamber. The valve piston has a flexible diaphragm which at its circumference co-operates sealingly with an inner circumferential wall of the valve chamber. The valve piston is movable between two end positions; in a first end position, it opens a flow path between a first opening and a second opening and blocks a third opening, and in the second end position, it blocks the first opening and opens a flow path between the second opening and the third opening. The wall of the valve chamber is shaped such that in the last phase of the diaphragm movement to the first end position, the sealing contact between the diaphragm and the inner wall is undone in at least part of the circumference.
Connector for transferring fluid and method of use
A connector for transferring fluid and method therefor. The connector may have a first port and a second port which may be coupled together at a main channel with a valve element therein controlling fluid flow through the first port. The first port joins the main channel to provide a fluid path around the valve element and through the second port.
Pneumatic valve/pressure vessel subcomponent with bayonet retention feature
A valve assembly including a fastener-less subcomponent. Installation of the subcomponent is simplified as compared to cover plates utilizing fasteners, while still providing suitable performance. In addition, the fastener-less subcomponent is not readily disassembled with common tools thereby discouraging tampering. The subcomponent includes bayonet style features for interlocking with structure of a valve housing to lock the subcomponent in position.
VALVE AND FLUID CONTROL DEVICE INCLUDING VALVE
A valve includes a first plate having a first vent hole; a second plate defining a valve chamber, which communicates with the first vent hole, between the second plate and the first plate, the second plate having a second vent hole that communicates with the valve chamber and that does not face the first vent hole; and a movable plate having a third vent hole that faces the second vent hole and disposed in the valve chamber such that the movable plate is movable between the first plate and the second plate. The second plate has an auxiliary hole that does not face the third vent hole in the movable plate, the auxiliary hole being surrounded by an edge portion that forms a first corner portion having a substantially convex rounded shape in front view of a principal surface of the second plate at a side facing the valve chamber.
