Break-away check valve
A break-away check valve is provided. The check valve may be configured between two passageways and may regulate the flow of liquid between the passageways. The check valve may include an actuation assembly that may actuate the check valve upon the system becoming dislodged or otherwise dislocated from at least one of the passageways.
Break-away check valve
A break-away check valve is disclosed. The check valve may be configured between two passageways and may regulate the flow of liquid between the passageways. The check valve may include an actuation assembly that may actuate the check valve upon the system becoming dislodged or otherwise dislocated from at least one of the passageways.
Passive explosion isolation valve with vertically oriented flaps
A passive explosion isolation valve (10) is provided that comprises vertically-oriented gate members (40, 42) configured to close automatically in response to an energetic event occurring downstream of the valve. The valve (10) may be optionally equipped with a valve seat cleaning assembly (46) configured to removed accumulated particulate material away from the area of the valve seat (48) and/or one or more latch assemblies (44) configured to secure the gate members (40, 42) in the closed position following closure of the valve (10) in response to an energetic event.
EMERGENCY DEGASSING VALVE APPARATUS
An emergency degassing apparatus is provided, comprising a base body, an emergency degassing valve having an emergency degassing opening and a pressure cap for closing the emergency degassing opening, and a pressure compensation element (DAE) having a first and a second pressure compensation valve.
Automatic shutoff valve for breakaway wet barrel fire hydrant
An automatic shutoff valve for breakaway wet barrel fire hydrant is disclosed. In general, one aspect disclosed features an apparatus comprising: a valve housing comprising a valve body, a flange, and a valve seat; a valve pedal configured to engage the valve seat and prevent fluid flow through the valve seat in a closed position, and to permit fluid flow through the valve seat in an open position; a lockout tab disposed within the valve body, wherein the lockout tab maintains the valve pedal in the open position; a lockout bar disposed distally from the valve body; and an activation rod mechanically coupled to the lockout bar and configured to keep the valve pedal engaged with the lockout tab.
VALVE ASSEMBLY FAILSAFE
A valve assembly failsafe configured to be coupled to an actuator of a coolant control regulator assembly is provided. The valve assembly failsafe includes a wind arm, a spring that engages the wind arm under spring tension, a latch that engages the wind arm, a drive gear that engages the wind arm and the actuator, and a driver that engages the latch. The valve assembly failsafe is configured to be positioned in a set state where the latch engages and retains the wind arm under spring tension and the drive gear freely rotates during rotation of the actuator, and a tripped state where the driver rotates the latch to disengage the latch from the wind arm, causing the wind arm to rotate under the spring tension to engage the drive gear and cause the drive gear to drive the actuator to a default position.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LEAKAGE MITIGATION
A leakage mitigation system to trigger a preventive action against detected leakage from a liquid enclosure, includes a leakage detection device disposed along base of the liquid enclosure. The system includes an absorbent that actuates the leakage detection device from a first state to a second state based on a volume of liquid leaked from the liquid enclosure. The device includes a valve coupled to an inlet pipe of the liquid enclosure and configured to allow flow of liquid through the inlet pipe in an open condition thereof and restrict flow of liquid through the inlet pipe in a closed condition thereof. The system further includes a shut-off actuator coupled to the valve and configured to actuate the valve from the open condition to the closed condition in response to the device being actuated from the first state to the second state.
WATERTIGHT CHECK VALVE
A check valve includes a valve body defining a valve bore extending from a first axial end to a second axial end, the valve body including an annular body and a cross member secured to and extending across the valve bore from the annular body on one side of the valve body to the annular body on an opposite side of the valve body, the valve bore at the cross member divided into more than one portion by the cross member; a position block extending from the cross member; a valve member positioned within the valve body and configured to rotate between an open position and a closed position; and a pivot pin extending from the valve member, engaged with the position block, and fixed with respect to the valve member; the valve member and the pivot pin configured to rotate together between the open position and the closed position.
Break check valve for hydrant
A hydrant includes: a hydrant body defining a hydrant inner cavity, the hydrant configured to couple to and be in fluid communication with a fluid distribution system including a fluid therein under pressure; and a break check valve coupled to the hydrant body, the valve including: a valve body defining a valve inner cavity, the hydrant inner cavity defining a valve bore in fluid communication with the fluid during normal operation of the hydrant; a valve member configured to rotate from an open position to a closed position of the valve; and an arm in contact with the hydrant and configured to prevent movement of the valve member when the hydrant is coupled to the valve, the valve defining a hole separate from the valve bore and in fluid communication with each of the hydrant inner cavity and the valve inner cavity.
Cooling apparatus for internal combustion engine
A cooling apparatus includes a circulation circuit, a pump, a flow rate adjustment valve, and a controller. The flow rate adjustment valve includes a valve member that rotates to change an open degree of the flow rate adjustment valve and a stopper that moves between a restriction position and a retraction position. The controller is configured to execute, when maintaining the open degree of the flow rate adjustment, a preparatory process of moving the stopper to the restriction position after arranging the stopper at the retraction position and arranging the valve member further in the valve-closing direction than the stopper through control of the pump discharge amount.
