Emergency shutoff device and emergency shutoff system provided with same

The emergency shutoff device is provided with a casing (21) in which inflow ports (22) through which control oil flows into a space (A1) provided therein and a plurality of outflow ports (23) through which the control oil flows outside of the space (A1) are formed; and a switching unit (24) configured to slide along an inner circumferential surface of the casing (21) in which the space (A1) is formed, to change its position relative to the plurality of outflow ports (23), and thus to switch a circulation state of the control oil in the space (A1). The switching unit (24) switches the circulation state between the first circulation state in which the control oil is circulated from a first inflow port (221) to a first outflow port (231) and the third circulation state in which an open and closed state of a test outflow port (236) is switched while the control oil is being circulated from the first inflow port (221) to the first outflow port (231).

HYDRAULIC SWITCH

The present invention relates to a hydraulic switch arrangement and a fluid switch for incorporating into a hydraulic switch arrangement that may be included in a hydraulic circuit for inhibiting flow of hydraulic fluid through a hydraulic circuit in the event of movement of an apparatus or platform from a stable to an unstable condition. Such platforms or apparatus may include for example, cranes, excavators, teletrucks and forklift trucks and roll over incidents of such machinery is common leading to numerous fatalities. Aspects of the present invention ensure fast switching in the event of a transfer from a stable to an unstable condition.

Hydrant shear valve and method

A system and method are disclosed for shutting off the flow of liquid to a hydrant. A break away frangible activator of a valve body becomes dislodged responsive to a hydrant receiving sufficient inadvertent impact. A valve member closes in response to the impact to close off the flow of fluid to the hydrant.

PORTABLE MONITOR CONTROL SYSTEM

One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed that can provide for a portable monitor control. A movement detection triggering system can be disposed between a fluid inlet and the body of the portable monitor, and may be able to restrict or reduce fluid flow when the monitor is moved from its desired position. A trigger arm can be coupled with the inlet, and, when the inlet is pivoted away from a set position, the trigger arm is also moved, which triggers another portion of the control system. A trigger pin is released, which may allow a lever to rotate, allowing a restrictor component to move into place in the fluid flow path, thereby restricting fluid flow.

Self-orienting suction point for fluid transportation

A fluid transportation apparatus includes a first suction pipe having a first intake opening and a second suction pipe having a second intake opening. The first and second suction pipes are attached to a vessel on opposite sides to move in rolling motion. The first intake opening is disposed in a fluid reservoir at a position lower than the second intake opening and a valve device moves toward a maximally opened position for a first proximal end of the first suction pipe and to move toward a maximally closed position for a second proximal end of the second suction pipe, as the first and second suction pipes move with the vessel in a first rolling direction of the rolling motion. The intake openings reverse roles and the proximal ends reverse roles, as the vessel moves in a second rolling direction of the rolling motion opposite from the first rolling direction.

EARTHQUAKE GAS VALVE
20180335159 · 2018-11-22 ·

An earthquake gas valve that uses an electro-mechanical battery powered actuation method to automatically close a gas valve when the movement caused by an earthquake is perceived, or if an extremely high temperature is perceived. A gear motor is activated by a plurality of shake switches which in turn cause a motor driven radial rack to rotate. The rack terminates in a closure plug which obstructs the gas outlet opening and prevents gas from entering the house or office when an earthquake occurs. A timing circuit delays the activation of the closure plug to make sure that the motion has been caused by an earthquake and not by an accidental brief jarring action. In one embodiment, the closure mechanism can be activated remotely by receiving a transmitted signal which is picked up by a receiving device within the valve enclosure, or the valve can send a signal to a central remote location telling of its open or closed condition.

Valve Device
20180328497 · 2018-11-15 ·

Valve device based on a closing disc formed by disc parts which are movably arranged on activation bolts extending between two stop discs, and where movement of the activation bolts or disc parts in longitudinal direction of the valve device results in that the relative position between the disc parts are changed and the valve device opens or closes.

Air-intake shutoff valves for engines

An actuation system for a valve is disclosed. The actuation system comprises a housing having an end wall. A first piston and a second piston is slidably positioned within the housing. The second piston is positioned between the first piston and the end wall. A piston rod is coupled to the first piston and slidably extends through the second piston and the end wall. The piston rod is configured to be coupled with the valve. A first spring is arranged between the first piston and the second piston. Further, a second spring is arranged between the second piston and the end wall. The first spring and the second spring are configured to bias the valve to a closed position.

SPEED ADJUSTABLE RETURNING APPARATUS FOR ELECTRIC ACTUATOR
20180298988 · 2018-10-18 ·

A speed adjustable returning apparatus for an electric actuator utilizes a cooperative configuration between the one-way driving device and the clutch device during the use of the apparatus in order to prevent damages caused by the operating unit driven by the opening/closing assembly. In addition, the clutch device is able to allow the operating device to selectively drive the opening/closing assembly in order to prevent impacts on the opening/closing assembly due to accidental movements of the operating device. Consequently, the present invention is able to achieve the effect of preventing damages of relevant equipment and providing a safer uses for applications.
