PASSIVE CONTAINMENT COOLING SYSTEM FOR A NUCLEAR REACTOR
20220367076 · 2022-11-17 · ·

A nuclear plant includes a nuclear reactor, a containment structure that at least partially defines a containment environment of the nuclear reactor, and a passive containment cooling system that causes coolant fluid to flow downwards from a coolant reservoir to a bottom of a coolant channel coupled to the containment structure and rise through the coolant channel toward the coolant reservoir due to absorbing heat from the nuclear reactor. A check valve assembly, in fluid communication with the coolant reservoir, selectively enables one-way flow of a containment fluid from the containment environment to the coolant reservoir, based on a pressure at an inlet being equal to or greater than a threshold magnitude. A fusible plug, in fluid communication with the coolant reservoir at a bottom vertical depth below the bottom of the coolant reservoir, enables coolant fluid to flow into the containment structure based on at least partially melting.

A high temperature warning system for a vehicle steer axle an air pressure supply, a normally-closed valve in fluid communication with pressure supply, a heat sensitive control capable of opening the normally-closed valve upon a predetermined temperature, the heat sensitive control mounted adjacent to the wheel end assembly in a heat exchange relationship therewith, and a warning system connected to the air pressure supply for actuation upon opening of the normally-closed valve.

Vent valve for gas pressure regulators and pressure regulator equipped with said vent valve

The invention is a gas vent valve (10) for a gas pressure regulator (1), comprising: a tubular body (11) developed between two opposite openings (11a, 11b); a shutter body (12) biased towards a position in which a first opening (11a) of the tubular body (11) is closed and movable from the closed position towards an open position for opening the first opening (11a) due to the effect of a pressure acting from the outside of the tubular body (11) through the first opening (11a); constraining means (13) configured so as to prevent the movement of the shutter body (12) from the closed position towards the open position when the ambient temperature exceeds a predefined value.

Adjustable temperature regulated faucet

A faucet includes a mixing chamber, a bypass chamber, a hot water actuator, a cold water actuator, and a valve assembly. The mixing chamber is in fluid communication with a spout. The bypass chamber is operably coupled to a source of cold water. The cold water actuator is operably coupled to provide, upon actuation, cold water to the mixing chamber. The hot water actuator is operably coupled to provide, upon actuation, hot water to the mixing chamber. The valve assembly has a seal configured to move in a direction away from the spout responsive to a temperature of water in the mixing chamber exceeding a threshold, such that fluid connection is provided between the bypass chamber and the mixing chamber.

TORSIONAL SPRING ACTUATED THERMAL VALVE

A valve includes a valve body forming a channel defining a fluid flow path extending from an inlet port to an outlet port of the valve body via a gallery disposed therebetween, an opening disposed in communication with the gallery, a valve assembly at least partially disposed through the opening and in the gallery, and a set pin having a central longitudinal axis. A valve disc of the valve assembly moves between a first position spaced from a valve seat of the valve body and a second position in contact with the valve seat. The set pin is coupled to and at least partly supported by the valve assembly to maintain the valve assembly in the first position. The fluid flow path allows a fluid to flow through the valve body in a first direction and a second direction opposite the first direction. The set pin is adapted to disengage a portion of the valve assembly when contacted by a fluid traversing the fluid flow path in the second direction, allowing the valve disc to move to the second position.
