Quick change valve trim assembly

A pressure regulator includes a valve body having a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet connected by a fluid passageway. An orifice is disposed between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. A valve seat is disposed within the fluid passageway. A movable valve plug is disposed within the fluid passageway, and the valve plug interacts with the valve seat to selectively open or close the fluid passageway. A cage is disposed in the fluid passageway, the cage surrounds the valve plug, and the cage includes a mechanical stop that limits movement of the valve plug within the cage away from the valve seat.

HIGH-PRESSURE PRIMING VALVE

A new and innovative high-pressure priming valve is provided for use in high-pressure fluid systems that require a high level of fluid purity. The priming valve includes at least three ports, some of which are angled. The priming valve also includes a needle that variably blocks and unblocks a pathway to one of the ports between normal operation and a priming operation, respectively. The priming valve includes a sealing insert positioned below a stack of washers that maintain the needle's alignment in response to high fluid pressures exerted on the needle. The sealing insert helps prevent fluid from contacting the stack of washers, which helps prevent biological growth within the valve. The angled ports help facilitate priming valve drainage to further help prevent biological growth. By helping prevent biological growth, the sealing insert helps prevent fluid contamination and enables the priming valve to be utilized for high-purity fluid applications.

A valve assembly wherein the inner wall of the valve body comprises at least one opening for the entry of a liquid under pressure following output of a slurry or liquid from a tube or pipe. The valve assembly is particularly useful in maintaining a semi-continuous or continuous pressurized flow of biomass from an extruder and extending the reaction zone downstream from the extruder. An advantage of having an extended reaction zone allows for a complete treatment of materials without further wear on the extruder and also allows manipulation of the upstream treatment of materials in the tube or pipe.

An example valve includes a valve body including a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, and a fluid passageway extending between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet, a plug disposed in the fluid passageway, and a trim guide positioned between the plug and the valve body, the trim guide including at least one balance passageway, the balance passageway to guide trapped process fluid to enter or exit an area between the plug and a bonnet of the valve during movement of the plug.

The invention relates to a valve device for controlled passage of a medium, in particular in the high-pressure range, which is provided with: a housing (15) having a bore (11) and at least one inlet opening (12) and an outlet opening (13); a pressure chamber (14) which is formed in the bore (11) and can be acted upon by the medium; and a valve needle (16) which is movable to and fro therein and has a conical tip (16′). A guide means (20) for the valve needle (16), by means of which the valve needle (16) with its circumferential region (16″) is guided directly at the conical tip (16′) almost without play and concentrically with respect to the valve seat (17) until it is almost in the closed position, is located in a valve seat (17) in a valve seat block (18). This guide means (20) has passage openings (24) for the passage of the medium from the pressure chamber (14) into the outlet opening (13). Very precise guiding of the valve needle is thus achieved at the front at the tip thereof, so that the service life of the valve device can be increased.

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to actuator assemblies and related methods for valve systems. In one implementation, an actuator assembly for valves includes an outer housing. The outer housing includes a first internal volume and an inner shoulder portion. The actuator assembly includes an inner housing disposed at least partially in the outer housing. The inner housing includes a second internal volume. The actuator assembly includes one or more first pistons disposed in the first internal volume of the outer housing, and one or more second pistons disposed in the second internal volume of the inner housing. The one or more first pistons are disposed between the one or more second pistons and the inner shoulder portion of the outer housing. The actuator assembly includes an actuator stem disposed through at least a portion of the outer housing and coupled to the one or more second pistons.
