Valves with a coated surface are described. A surface of the valve can include a surface coating. For example, the surface coating can include many different materials and may include a metal or metal alloy such as, for example, a molybdenum alloy or a nickel alloy or a nickel molybdenum alloy. Systems and devices including the valves are also described.
