Systems and methods for interactive experiences and controllers therefor
Systems and methods of multi-participant interactive experiences are disclosed. Participants located location can interact with one another and share gaming, educational and other experiences. The system includes a coordination node to coordinate experiences between participants and one or more of interactive nodes. At each interactive node there is a main display that shows shared information to each of the participants and to other viewers. Each of the participants also uses a personal controller such as a smart phone which has a personal display. Information that is specific to the participant can be displayed on the personal controller.
System and method for combining multiple game or application views into a single media stream
A system and method are described for combining multiple views of a video game or application into a single video stream (or set of video streams). For example, a system according to one embodiment comprises: a plurality of application/video game instances executed for a particular multi-player video game or application on a hosting service, the application/video game instances being executed in response to control signals received from a plurality of clients; compositing logic executed at the hosting service to combine video streams generated by each of the application/video game instances into a single video stream for a first one of the clients; and compression logic to compress the single video stream with low latency such that the user of the first one of the clients has the perception that the video game or application is being executed locally.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND DEVICES FOR IDENTIFYING A PORTION OF VIDEO CONTENT FROM A VIDEO GAME FOR A PLAYER OR SPECTATOR
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, obtaining portions of video content from a video game from video game server(s) associated with a video game provider, selecting a first portion of video content from the portions of the video content, and providing the first portion to device(s) associated with viewer(s). Each device presents the first portion of the video content. Further embodiments include obtaining popularity information from the device(s) according to feedback based on presenting the first portion of the video content to the device(s), determining that the popularity information satisfies a popularity threshold associated with the video content, determining a subject matter corresponding to the first portion of the video content, and identifying a second portion of the video content from the video game to be recorded according to the subject matter. Other embodiments are disclosed.
System, method and apparatus for collecting and utilizing big data for online gameplay
A system, method and apparatus for capturing data from a plurality of users for providing online gameplay based on captured user sensor data. User sensor data is captured from a plurality of sensor capture devices relative to an associated user so as to be transmitted to a gameplay server. The gameplay server executes instructions to generate a user interface on a user's client computing device for providing gameplay on each user client portable computing device utilizing, and pertinent to, the captured sensor data.

Automated game modification based on playing style
A system, a non-transitory machine-readable storage medium storing instructions, and a computer-implemented method to modify a game based on playing style is provided. Player-specific playing style information that indicates one or more attributes of a playing style of a player is accessed. The playing style information is based on gameplay behavior of the player. Game parameters that defines at least some aspects of a game level forming part of the game is accessed. In an automated operation one or more of the game parameters are modified, thereby a difficulty of the game level for the player based on the one or more playing style attributes is modified. The modified game parameters are caused to be presented on a client device associated with the player of the game level.
Automated game modification based on playing style
A system, a non-transitory machine-readable storage medium storing instructions, and a computer-implemented method to modify a game based on playing style is provided. Player-specific playing style information that indicates one or more attributes of a playing style of a player is accessed. The playing style information is based on gameplay behavior of the player. Game parameters that defines at least some aspects of a game level forming part of the game is accessed. In an automated operation one or more of the game parameters are modified, thereby a difficulty of the game level for the player based on the one or more playing style attributes is modified. The modified game parameters are caused to be presented on a client device associated with the player of the game level.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING GAME LEVEL ATTRIBUTES BASED ON PLAYER SKILL LEVEL PRIOR TO GAME PLAY IN THE LEVEL
A system, a machine-readable storage medium storing instructions, and a computer-implemented method are described herein for a System Tuner for customizing a player's experience. The System Tuner calculates a player skill level for a player. The System Tuner modifies at least one attribute of a second game level based on the player skill level prior to game play of the player in the second game level. The System Tuner detects game play of the player in the second game level. The System Tuner identifies a difference between a current rate of progression of the player and a reference rate of progression. The System Tuner triggers the modified attribute of the second game according to an extent of the difference between the current rate of progression and the reference rate of progression.
