WELDABLE, LOW LEAD AND LEAD-FREE PLUMBING FITTINGS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME

A plumbing fitting that includes: a fitting body having a plurality of ends; and a cover element joined to the body with a weld in proximity to and spaced from an interface in contact with a potable or non-potable aqueous medium. The body and the cover element are fabricated from a lead-free or low lead, copper or copper-silicon alloy having a thermal conductivity of 45 W/(m*K). Further, the weld has a centerline that is 6.4 mm from the interface and/or a heat affected zone that has an average width 400 m and is spaced from the interface. The plumbing fittings include but are not limited to ball valves, gate valves, elbows, check valves and other fittings without stems.

Reducing noise in ball valves

A component for a ball valve that is configured to reduce noise. The component or shoe can install into the valve body, for example, on a downstream side of a throttling ball. In one implementation, the embodiments comprise an annular ring with an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface is cupped to receive a portion of the throttling ball. The outer surface may have a stepped profile with portions of the annular ring that have concentrically-decreasing diameter. This stepped profile sits in a corresponding recess in the valve body. Welds can be used to secure the shoe in place in lieu of fasteners, like bolts or screws.

Fluid control valve

A fluid control valve is disclosed, comprising a driving assembly, a valve core assembly, and a main valve body. The valve core assembly can be driven by the driving assembly to rotate; the main valve body is provided with a valve body part and at least two adapter parts; each adapter part extends radially outwards from a side wall of the valve body part, the adapter part is provided with an adapter channel, and the adapter part further has an adapter port corresponding to and communicated with the adapter channel; an opening of the adapter port of each adapter part faces a side of the adapter part facing away from the driving assembly.

Valve

A valve (10) in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention includes a body (1) having a space in which a stem (3) and a ball (4) are housed, wherein an inner lid body (60) fixing the ball (4) in the space liquid-tightly partitions the space into a part in which the stem (3) is housed and a part in which the ball (4) is housed.
