Sealing device for a stem of a valve
A sealing device (1) for a stem (12) of a valve (10) comprising a metal gasket (4) for the valve (10) stem (12), shaped as a half U provided with a single sealing lip (44), which has a radially inner surface (442) and a radially outer surface (444), inclined along the radially inner direction, a wedge metal ring (6) positioned inside the half U of the metal gasket (4), an elastic element (7) configured to cooperate with said wedge metal ring (6), the elastic element providing the wedge metal ring with an elastic load and a static sealing ring (8). The elastic element (7) is configured for applying a force to the wedge metal ring (6) such that said wedge metal ring (6) applies a contact pressure to the sole sealing lip (44) of the metal gasket (4) shaped as a half U.
Seal for sealing a valve shaft, tool and method for mounting a seal to a guide element of a valve shaft
Embodiments relate to a seal for sealing a valve shaft in an internal combustion engine. The seal includes a sealing lip of an elastomer which is configured to be in contact with a shell surface of the valve shaft perpendicular to a radial direction. The seal further includes a supporting structure firmly connected to the sealing lip and made of a material different from the elastomer of the sealing lip which is configured to create a form-fit in the axial direction directly between the supporting structure and a guide element of the valve shaft by an at least partial plastic deformation in the radial direction.

Shaft sealing structure
A shaft sealing structure includes a plurality of V-packings that are stacked in multiple stages, and each of the V-packings is formed of a thick-walled annular top portion, a thin-walled inner side skirt portion, and a thin-walled outer side skirt portion. Adjacent ones of the top portions abut against each other, adjacent ones of the inner side skirt portions do not interfere with each other, and adjacent ones of the outer side skirt portions do not interfere with each other.
SEAL, ASSEMBLY, AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
A seal including a first annular body having an inner radius and an outer radius, and a first circumferential end and a second circumferential end defining a first split along the circumference of the first annular body; and a second annular body having an inner radius and an outer radius, and a first circumferential end and a second circumferential end defining a first split along the circumference of the second annular body, where the circumferential split of the first annular body is offset from the circumferential split of the second annular body at an arc distance defined by a central angle C, wherein the central angle C is no less than 15, or where the second annular body is adapted to force the first split of the first annular body to close around a fluid component.
High temperature shaft seal for bleed valve with roller bearings
A seal assembly for a creating a seal between a shaft and a valve housing of a bleed valve that impedes contaminants from reaching bearings includes first and second seal pieces. The first seal piece circumferentially surrounds the shaft and is disposed between the shaft and the valve housing. The second seal piece is in contact with and is disposed axially adjacent to the first seal piece relative to the shaft. The second seal piece is biased against the first seal piece.
Shaft Sealing Device
A shaft sealing device according to one aspect of the present disclosure includes a flow passage pipe, a rotating portion, a valve, a shaft seal, and a flow passage seal. The flow passage pipe includes a gas flow passage therein, and a through hole that communicates an interior of the flow passage with an exterior of the flow passage. The rotating portion is inserted into and held in the through hole, and rotates about a rotation axis that is preset. The valve opens and closes at least one portion of the flow passage in accordance with rotation of the rotating portion. The shaft seal is arranged along an outer circumference of the rotating portion and protrudes therefrom. The flow passage seal is arranged between the flow passage pipe and the rotating portion, and surrounds the rotating portion to have a linear contact with the shaft seal.
