Tubular body containing SiC fiber and method for producing the same
A first SiC layer formed into a tubular shape and made of a SiC material, a first groove which spirals in one direction along the outer periphery of the first SiC layer, a first SiC fiber layer made of a plurality of SiC fibers wound along the first groove, a second SiC fiber layer made of a plurality of SiC fibers wound outside of the first SiC fiber layer in a direction different from the one direction, and a second SiC layer which is made of a SiC material and which covers the first SiC layer, the first SiC fiber layer, and the second SiC fiber layer are provided. The first SiC fiber layer and the second SiC fiber layer are separated from each other at intersections of the first SiC fiber layer and the second SiC fiber layer.
CONTAINMENT SLEEVE FOR PRESSURIZED PIPING SYSTEM
A containment sleeve for use with a pressurized piping system including a pliable fabric sheet having first and second opposing longitudinal edges, first and second opposing transverse edges, and first and second opposing major surfaces respectively defining an interior and exterior surfaces. At least one pleat extends between the first and second transverse edges, the pleat being in a normally closed position to define the interior surface with a first surface area. The sheet of pliable fabric to secure about a portion of a pressurized piping system with the interior major surface facing the pipe so as to form a sleeve having an initial interior volume there about. In response to a rupture of the pressurized piping system within the interior volume, the pleat to expand to an open position to expand the interior surface to a second surface area to increase the interior volume from the initial volume.

COATED PIPE AND PIPE COMBINATION
The invention relates to a pipe having a thermoplastic casing surface a glass-fibre-reinforced thermo-setting coating surrounding the thermoplastic casing surface. The thermo-setting coating is formed from multiple layers of glass-fibre matting or glass-fibre fabric, or a combination of the two, wherein the layers are applied to the thermoplastic casing surface a wet-on-wet method using a vinylester, polyester or epoxy resin. According to the invention, an outer layer of the thermo-setting coating is formed from cross-wound glass-fibre fleece or glass-fibre fabric.
CONTAINMENT SLEEVE FOR PRESSURIZED PIPING SYSTEM
On example provides a containment sleeve for a pressurized piping system including a main body comprising a pliable fabric extending in longitudinal and transverse directions. The main body includes an exterior major surface and an opposing interior major surface, first and second opposed transverse edges, first and second opposed longitudinal edges, and a number of pleats extending from the interior major surface, each pleat having opposing sides of the longitudinal pleat being sewn together with breakaway stitching at a base of the pleat at the interior major surface. A number of transversely extending straps disposed on the exterior major surface between the first and second longitudinal edges, the straps to secure the main body about a portion of the piping system with the interior major surface facing the piping system.

ENHANCED WELDED PIPE, THREADED CONNECTIONS, AND METHODS FOR ACHIEVING THE SAME
A tubular member includes a tube body, a tube end, an exterior surface, an interior surface, a nominal wall thickness, a longitudinal axis, a welded seam, and a patch of material. The welded seam forms an arcuate portion of the interior surface, and the patch covers a portion of the interior surface that includes a portion of the welded seam, extending from the tube end to an axially spaced first location. The resulting interior surface from the tube end to the axially spaced first location has a uniform inside diameter.
