Concrete reinforcement elements and structures
A prong is configured for use with a concrete reinforcement element and includes first and second legs positioned opposite first and second sides of the prong and a bridge portion connecting distal ends the legs, where the bridge portion forms a first end of the prong. The legs extend from the bridge portion to a second end of the prong opposite the first end, and each of the legs has a proximal end at the second end of the prong. The proximal end of the first leg is bent toward the second leg, and the proximal end of the second leg is bent toward the first leg, such that the proximal ends of the legs overlap each other. Inner surfaces of the proximal ends of the legs define engagement surfaces configured to engage a tie wire, enabling the proximal ends to be connected to the tie wire.

This disclosure relates generally to corrugated pipe, and more particularly to corrugated pipe with an outer wrap. In one embodiment, a pipe includes an axially extended bore defined by a corrugated outer wall having axially adjacent, outwardly-extending corrugation crests, separated by corrugation valleys. The pipe also includes an outer wrap applied to the outer wall. The outer wrap may include fibers and plastic. The outer wrap may span the corrugation crests producing a smooth outer surface.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING A SEWER PIPE ELEMENT
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a sewage pipe element comprising a plastics lining, the method comprising the following steps: providing a mould 2 for manufacturing the sewage pipe element, comprising a first sleeve 22 and a plastics element 20; introducing a concrete into the mould 2; attaching a second sleeve 28; demoulding the sewage pipe element; the first sleeve 22 being connected to the plastics element 20 and the plastics element 20 being connected to the second sleeve 28 in a fluid-tight manner in each case and forming at least part of the plastics lining.
Liner for concrete article
The liner includes a rib formation with a transverse section configured to mechanically lock the liner to a concrete shell and a joint to allow the rib formation to flex. The joint for the rib formation can comprise a first side spaced apart from a second side with each joined to the transverse section to allow each side to flex with respect to each other. The space between the first side and the second side can be filled with a weld material to add rigidity to the rib formation while allowing it to flex. Each of the first side and the second side can be combined at the other end to a shell. The combined rib formation and shell are spirally wound to create the liner.

Method for refurbishing pre-stressed concrete cylinder pipe and refurbished pre-stressed concrete cylinder pipe
A method for refurbishing a pre-stressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP) comprises removing concrete from an existing inner surface of the PCCP at each end thereof to expose a metal core, cleaning the exposed metal core and depositing filler over the exposed metal core at each end of the PCCP to a thickness wherein the filler is substantially flush with the existing inner surface. One or more layers of carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) liner are applied to the existing inner surface of the PCCP and to the filler at each end of the PCCP. Each layer of CFRP liner conforms to the inner surface of the PCCP and the filler and remains substantially cylindrical with substantially constant diameter along a length of the PCCP with substantially unbent cylindrical ends. After curing all layer(s) of CFRP liner, each terminus of the layer(s) of CFRP liner is sealed.

FIBER REINFORCED LAMINATE PIPE JOINT INSERT
A fiber reinforced laminate pipe joint can include a first pipe, a second pipe, where the first pipe and the second pipe can be fiber reinforced laminate pipes, and a pipe joint insert. The pipe joint insert can be partially inserted inside the first pipe and can be partially inserted inside the second pipe. The pipe joint insert can be bonded to the first pipe and the second pipe, where the pipe joint insert can include a fiber reinforced laminate, where a bonding agent in the fiber reinforced laminate of the pipe joint insert can be distinct from a bonding agent used to bond the pipe joint insert to the first pipe.
