Composite article

A composite article includes a low surface energy polymer layer, a poly(meth)acrylate layer, an epoxide layer, and a hydrolytically resistant layer. The poly(meth)acrylate layer is disposed on and in direct contact with the low surface energy polymer layer and includes the reaction product of at least one acrylate that is polymerized in the presence of an organoborane initiator, such that the poly(meth)acrylate includes boron. The epoxide layer is disposed on and in direct contact with the poly(meth)acrylate layer. The hydrolytically resistant layer is disposed on and in direct contact with the epoxide and is the reaction product of an isocyanate component and an isocyanate-reactive component reacted in the presence of a curing agent. The isocyanate-reactive component includes a polydiene polyol and the curing agent crosslinks the carbon-carbon double bonds of the polydiene polyol.

Metallized polyethylene laminates

The present disclosure provides a metallized polyethylene laminate comprising: an outer polyethylene layer; a metallized acid copolymer layer; an inner polyethylene layer in contact with the metallized acid copolymer layer; and optionally an extruded polyethylene layer; and a sealant layer of polyethylene.

Insulating inserts for field joints of coated rigid pipelines

An insulating insert is positioned around a field joint of a pipeline to insulate the field joint. The insert includes a longitudinal series of annular or part-annular filler segments of insulating material, curved about a longitudinal axis, that are each joined to one or more adjacent segments of the series by at least one link. The links may be webs, rods or articulated links. The links are flexible relative to the segments to facilitate bending of the insert along its length by enabling relative angular displacement between adjacent segments of the series.

Fiber-reinforced member and method for manufacturing same

A fiber-reinforced member includes: a base member having a tubular region with an outer circumferential surface extending along and substantially in parallel with an axial direction; and a fiber-reinforced resin layer constituted of a tow prepreg wound in an overlapping manner to cover the outer circumferential surface of the base member along a predetermined direction crossing the axial direction when viewed in a radial direction of the base member, the tow prepreg serving as a widened tape-like member. The tape-like member constituting the fiber-reinforced resin layer has a portion having a fiber line extending along a direction crossing the predetermined direction. A size of a width of the tape-like member constituting the fiber-reinforced resin layer is not less than 100 times and not more than 400 times as large as a size of a thickness of the tape-like member constituting the fiber-reinforced resin layer in the radial direction.

FITTING FOR PREVENTING DISTORTION

A tubular body includes a fiber-reinforced resin layer including a prepreg sheet, which is made of fiber-reinforced resin, wound into a tubular shape and cured. The prepreg sheet includes an edge that is located at an end in a direction in which the prepreg sheet is wound. The fiber-reinforced resin layer includes a joining portion where the edge of the prepreg sheet is joined to the prepreg sheet. The joining portion extends helically over a single winding or more around the axis of the tubular body.

Tubing for brake and fuel systems incorporating graphene impregnated polyamides

A coated metal pipe for use as an automotive fluid transport tube and including any of a single or double walled tubing formed into a circular cross sectional profile. An intermediate primer layer is applied over the tubing. A polyamide incorporating a graphene powder is further applied over the intermediate layer.

Reinforcement Band For Irrigation Valve
