COMPOSITION OF A MULTI-LAYER TUBE WITH A POLYAMIDE OUTER LAYER AND PROCESS FOR MAKING
The present disclosure provides a multi-layer tube comprising a polyamide outer layer, a polyolefin intermediate layer and a thermoplastic elastomeric inner layer. The polyamide outer layer provides sufficient mechanical strength and the polyolefin intermediate layer shields the polyamide from contact with water to avoid hydrolytic degradation. The thermoplastic elastomeric inner layer guards against stress cracking in the polyolefin intermediate layer and provides an excellent seal for connection.
PIPE COUPLING ASSEMBLY AND METHOD
A pipe coupling assembly for joining two sections of polymer pipe, the pipe coupling assembly comprising: an insert configured for positioning within an end region of a first section of polymer pipe and an end region of a second section of polymer pipe, such that an annular gap is formed between the insert and the end regions of polymer pipe; an adhesive configured for sealing the annular gap between the insert and the end regions; and an external coupler for positioning over the end regions and joining the first and second sections of polymer pipe.
THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION FOR REFRIGERANT TRANSPORTING PIPING, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
Provided is a thermoplastic resin composition for refrigerant transporting piping having high barrier properties, flexibility, and good extrusion processability. The thermoplastic resin composition for refrigerant transporting piping is composed of: a matrix containing a thermoplastic resin; and a domain containing a rubber dispersed in the matrix, and is characterized in that the thermoplastic resin has a melting point of 150° C. or higher, the rubber is a butyl-based rubber or an olefin-based rubber, the matrix contains a viscosity stabilizer, the thermoplastic resin composition contains a processing aid and at least one selected from the group consisting of a phenylenediamine-based anti-aging agent, a quinoline-based anti-aging agent, and a trihydric alcohol having a triazine skeleton, and at least a portion of the rubber is crosslinked.
FILLER PIPE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FILLER PIPE
A filler pipe for suppressing swelling deformation caused by fuel, and a manufacturing method thereof. A resin filler pipe has a bellows section, including peaks and valleys, and an ordinary section, not including the bellows section, and is provided with at least inner layers, barrier layers, and outer layers. In the ordinary section, the inner layer is thinner than the outer layer, and the rate of increase in the proportion of the inner layer in the peaks of the bellows section with respect to the proportion of the inner layer in the ordinary section is equal to or less than the rate of increase in the proportion of the outer layer in the peaks of the bellows section with respect to the proportion of the outer layer in the ordinary section.
MULTIPLE TUBING ANNULI PIPELINE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Techniques for implementing a pipe segment that includes a tubing inner barrier layer that defines a pipe bore through the pipe segment, a venting tubing annulus implemented around the tubing inner barrier layer, in which the venting tubing annulus includes a first solid material implemented to define a venting fluid conduit, a tubing intermediate barrier layer implemented around the venting tubing annulus, a reinforcement tubing annulus implemented around the tubing intermediate barrier layer, and a tubing outer barrier layer implemented around the reinforcement tubing annulus. The reinforcement tubing annulus includes a second solid material that is different from the first solid material and is implemented to define a reinforcement fluid conduit. Additionally, the venting fluid conduit facilitates venting fluid that permeates from the pipe bore through the tubing inner barrier layer out from the pipe segment before the fluid contacts the second solid material in the reinforcement tubing annulus.
AEROSPACE HOSE HAVING EPDM RUBBER LAYER
The present disclosure relates to a hydraulic hose having a first layer that has a composition that includes PTFE. The hydraulic hose also has a second layer for preventing alkyl phosphate ester from permeating through the hydraulic hose to an exterior surface of the hydraulic hose. The second layer has a composition that includes EPDM rubber.
