The swage machine includes a grab plate having a grab tab that matingly interlocks with a grab notch on the pipe fitting to facilitate securing the swage machine to the pipe fitting and a die plate having a die seat that enables a set of die segments to be used to conformally deform the pipe fitting around the tubing of the pipe segment to be loaded in the swage machine. The die plate and the grab plate include a base plate section, a hinge plate secured to the base plate section via a hinge fastener such that the hinge plate directly abuts the base plate section, and a pivotable plate section secured to the hinge plate via a hinge fastener such that the hinge plate directly abuts the pivotable plate section.
Pressing tool and method for a re-pressing operation
A pressing tool includes a motor, a sensor, and a microcontroller coupled to the motor and the sensor. The microcontroller is configured to cause the motor to operate in a first direction, and obtain a motor parameter from the sensor. The microcontroller is further configured to determine an occurrence of a fault condition of the motor when the motor parameter satisfies a threshold. In response to determining the fault condition, the microcontroller is further configured to cause the motor to change from operation in the first direction to operate in a second direction, pause operation of the motor in the second direction, and resume operation of the motor in the first direction.

The invention relates to a method for positioning measurement points (15, 18) with respect to a feature (8) locationally fixed on an object (5), wherein the object (5) is moved along an adjustment track. A first and a second optical detection region (10, 11) are formed, by means of which the current actual position of the feature (8) is detected. The two detection regions (10, 11) are arranged overlapping each other thus forming an overlapping section (13). The measurement points (15, 18) are each arranged at a predefined fixed distance (16, 19) from the feature (8). If the feature (8) is within the first detection region (10), the measurement occurs at the first positioned measurement point (15). If the feature (8) is within the overlapping section (13), the first measurement point (15) is deactivated and the second measurement point (18) is activated and the measurement is performed.

The technical problem of improving the reliability and mechanical load-bearing capacity of the metallic connection to be made between a metal pipe and the fitting is solved by the supporting body having a first sealing section arranged at the distal end with at least one radially encircling sealing tooth has a holding region adjoining the first sealing section in the axial direction, holding teeth which are distributed around the circumference and extend axially, and a second sealing section adjoining the holding region in the axial direction and having at least one radially extending sealing tooth.

The invention relates to a fitting to be connected to at least one pipe, in particular a plastic pipe or plastic-metal composite pipe, having a main body, having at least one supporting body connected to the main body for insertion into a pipe end and having at least one pressing sleeve connected to the main body for receiving the pipe end, the pressing sleeve having a cylindrical pressing section. The technical problem of improving the fitting for pressing, in particular with small motor-driven or manually driven pressing tools, is solved by the fact that the pressing sleeve is made of a metal with a microhardness of less than 65 HV 1, in particular less than 50 HV 1, preferably in the range from 40 to 50 HV 1 measured according to Vickers, and that the ratio of wall thickness of the pressing section to the outer diameter of the pressing section is less than 0.06, preferably in the range from 0.03 to 0.06. The invention also relates to a method for establishing a connection.
