The invention relates to a press jaw with a drive press jaw and a press insert which can be coupled and exchanged therewith, a drive press jaw with coupling elements, a press insert with coupling means which can be used as a press jaw insert or as a pressing sling, and system for pressing fittings with pipes with a modular structure with a press jaw, with at least two press inserts with different diameters and a pull insert, wherein the pull insert and the drive press jaw form a pull jaw. This solves the technical problem of further improving the handling and application possibilities of the press jaw, the drive press jaw, the press insert and the system for pressing fittings with pipes.

A pipe extending from a first side toward a second side includes a side wall and a spool. The spool formed in the side wall is bent so as to protrude from an outer circumferential surface of the pipe, and extends to surround the outer circumferential surface. The spool includes a first portion located on the first side and a second portion located on the second side. There is a clearance between the first portion and the second portion in a top region of the spool, and the first portion and the second portion substantially abut each other in a base region.

The invention relates to a press connection system for non-releasably connecting a fitting to a pipe, with a press jaw, with a press contour formed on the inside of the press jaw. The press contour has a cylindrical press section, with a fitting, with a fitting base body and a press sleeve forming a press chamber. A sealing ring is arranged at the proximal end of the press chamber relative to the fitting base body and a cutting ring is arranged at the distal end of the press chamber relative to the fitting base body. The cutting ring has a central cylindrical section and cutting elements arranged at the distal end and cutting elements arranged at the proximal end. The technical problem of further improving the pull-out resistance and bursting resistance of the pressed fitting is solved by the press contour having a distal press portion adjacent to the cylindrical press portion, which is at least sectionally conical in shape, and a proximal press portion adjacent to the cylindrical press portion, which is at least sectionally conical in shape, in that the distal press portion is formed to form the distal end of the cutting ring radially inwardly when the press sleeve is pressed radially, that the cylindrical press section is formed to form the proximal end of the cutting ring radially inwardly when the press sleeve is pressed radially, and that the proximal press section is formed to form the sealing ring radially inwardly when the press sleeve is pressed radially. The invention also relates to a swaged fitting.

An assembly configured to be press joined with a pipe by a pressing tool includes a piping component, which includes a body, a first end having a rim and an inner surface having a plurality of grooves, and a sealing recess wall positioned between the first end and the body and defining a sealing recess. The assembly also includes a sealing element received within the sealing recess of the piping component and having a sealing element thickness. The sealing element thickness of the sealing element is about equal to and not less than a Minimum Sealing Element Thickness Value of the sealing element.

A compression collar is used for reinforcing an interference fit between a piping end and a fitting. The compression collar comprises a reinforcing ring having a tubular geometry with a radially-inward facing surface and a radially-outward facing surface. A sleeve is received around, at least in part, a portion of the radially-outward facing surface of the reinforcing ring and this sleeve wraps around one axial end of the reinforcing ring to form a stop edge thereon.

A method of connecting a first fitting to a second fitting to provide a fluid coupling between the first fitting and the second fitting includes providing a first fitting having an exterior surface; providing a second fitting having an interior surface and an annular groove provided on the interior surface; positioning the first fitting at least partially within the second fitting; and deforming the first fitting in a generally annular direction to form an annular ridge extending at least partially into the annular groove to couple the first fitting to the second fitting.

A manual pre-swage tool is particularly useful for pre-setting the tube fitting ferrules onto the tube prior to the actual installation of the fitting components into the tube fitting body. The pre-swage tool is used by clamping in a vise, or other suitable means, in an open area where leverage and ease of use can be obtained. This new and improved design tool of the present disclosure incorporates a feature that prevents the ferrules from being over tightened thereby preventing damage to the tool or ferrules and also allowing the pre-swaged assembly to be fully compatible with what is called stop collars and gap inspection gages that are commonly used in the field to indicate proper pull up of the tube fitting when installed.

A crimping system for crimping fittings on hoses is disclosed and includes an interface and a crimper machine. The crimper machine is configured to analyze collected information based on identified hose and fitting properties; perform a crimping operation based on the collected information and the identified hose and fitting properties; measure crimping characteristics for the crimping operation; generate an alert based on the measured crimping characteristics and the collected information; and provide the alert to the interface.

A swaging tool having a housing, a piston, a fixed jaw and a moveable jaw, wherein the housing is capable of receiving and holding a tube and a swage fitting in the fixed jaw; the moveable jaw is in communication with a moveable die and is capable of moving axially along the housing with respect to an axis for the tube and the swage fitting to connect the swage fitting to the tube and create a seal between the swage fitting and the tube, and two opposing arms attached to the moveable jaw that have an open and a closed position to hold the tube and swage in alignment.
