Fitting to be connected to at least one pipe and method for establishing a connection
The invention relates to a fitting to be connected to at least one pipe, in particular a plastic pipe or plastic-metal composite pipe, having a main body, having at least one supporting body connected to the main body for insertion into a pipe end and having at least one pressing sleeve connected to the main body for receiving the pipe end, the pressing sleeve having a cylindrical pressing section. The technical problem of improving the fitting for pressing, in particular with small motor-driven or manually driven pressing tools, is solved by the fact that the pressing sleeve is made of a metal with a microhardness of less than 65 HV 1, in particular less than 50 HV 1, preferably in the range from 40 to 50 HV 1 measured according to Vickers, and that the ratio of wall thickness of the pressing section to the outer diameter of the pressing section is less than 0.06, preferably in the range from 0.03 to 0.06. The invention also relates to a method for establishing a connection.
Swage machine hinge systems and methods
Techniques for implementing and/or operating a system that includes a pipe fitting and a swage machine. The swage machine includes a grab plate having a grab tab that matingly interlocks with a grab notch on the pipe fitting to facilitate securing the swage machine to the pipe fitting and a die plate having a die seat that enables a set of die segments to be used to conformally deform the pipe fitting around the tubing of the pipe segment to be loaded in the swage machine. The die plate and the grab plate include a base plate section, a hinge plate secured to the base plate section via a hinge fastener such that the hinge plate directly abuts the base plate section, and a pivotable plate section secured to the hinge plate via a hinge fastener such that the hinge plate directly abuts the pivotable plate section.
Multiple die set swage machine systems and methods
Techniques for implementing and/or operating a system that includes a swage machine and a pipe fitting to be secured to a pipe segment. The pipe fitting includes a fitting jacket to be conformally deformed around tubing of the pipe segment. The swage machine includes a grab plate that interlocks with the pipe fitting; a die seat implemented in a die plate of the swage machine; a die set loaded in the die seat, in which the die set is to be passed over the fitting jacket of the pipe fitting to facilitate conformally deforming the fitting jacket; another die seat implemented farther from the grab plate than the die seat; and another die set loaded in the other die seat, in which the other die set is to be passed over the fitting jacket of the pipe fitting to facilitate conformally deforming the fitting jacket.
LOCKING CONNECTOR
A connector for use with a dialyzer to connect a conduit from a dialyzer with a conduit from a dialysate source. The connector includes a sleeve (female component) and a collet (male component). The sleeve has a generally cylindrical shape with an opening at one end having a circular shape with at least one slot positioned along the periphery of the circular shape. The sleeve also includes at least one flexible finger having a barb at a free end. The collet is configured to be housed within an interior chamber of the sleeve and has first and second gaps to house the barbs and first and second deflectable flanges to lock into recesses in a conduit.
Fitting with a coating, pipeline system and use of the fitting or of the pipeline system
A fitting for a sealing, non-releasable pipe connection, including a main fitting body for accommodating at least one pipe which is to be connected, and at least one pressing sleeve. The main fitting body and the pressing sleeve have pressing surfaces, which are assigned to one another. The main fitting body has a pressing surface which, in the installed state, is directed towards the pipe which is to be connected, and is assigned to a peripheral region of the main fitting body. The pressing surfaces assigned to one another on the main fitting body and on the pressing sleeve are formed such that the action of pushing the pressing sleeve axially onto the main fitting body gives rise to the peripheral region of the main fitting body being narrowed radially.
AXIAL SWAGED FITTING
An axial swaged fitting for permanently joining to a tube to achieve an elastic strain preload condition comprises an annular body including a detent step. An annular driver includes a driver detent feature. The driver is configured for selective distal sliding motion with respect to the tube and body to bring the driver detent feature into selective engagement with the detent step at least partially via elastic deformation of the driver detent feature. At least one swage ring is laterally interposed between the tube and the driver. The driver selectively exerts a predetermined compression force laterally inward toward the tube to urge the at least one swage ring into a sealing contact with the tube and responsively place the tube into the elastic strain preload condition. The driver detent feature concurrently engages the detent step to resist proximal motion of the driver with respect to the body.
JOINING STRUCTURE, PIPE JOINT, AND METHOD FOR FORMING JOINING STRUCTURE
In order to be able to join a pipe member and a pipe joint more firmly than before without using welding, a joining structure airtightly or liquid-tightly joins an outer peripheral surface of the pipe member and an inner peripheral surface of a cylindrical member to be mounted on the pipe member, and the pipe member and the cylindrical member are made inseparable by an annular protrusion formed on the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical member.
Sliding sleeve connection
A sliding sleeve connection between an expanded end of an all-plastic pipe or of a plastic composite pipe and a connecting element includes an expanded end of an all-plastic pipe or of a plastic composite pipe; a connecting element having at least one support body provided with circumferential external ribs, onto which the expanded end of the all-plastic pipe or of the plastic composite pipe is slid, and at least one circumferential collar; and a sliding sleeve made of elastically deformable polymer material axially slid onto the expanded end. The connecting element includes a pre-stop between the circumferential collar and the nearest circumferential external rib to the latter. The pre-stop constitutes a limitation for sliding onto the end of the pipe. The end of the sliding sleeve facing the circumferential collar protrudes beyond the end of the pre-stop facing the circumferential external rib.
FLANGELESS COUPLER FUSED INSIDE OPPOSING ENDS OF CONDUITS
A flangeless conduit coupler for joining the ends of two conduits together includes a metallic element and a polymeric element. The metallic element includes a hollow cylindrical element having a plurality of perforations established therethrough. The polymeric element is overmolded at the metallic element so that the metallic element is encapsulated by the polymeric element with the polymeric element present within the perforations of the metallic element. The coupler is disposed in flared ends of opposing conduits and is fused therein to join the conduits and seal the conduit joint. The coupler has an inside diameter that corresponds with the inside diameter of the conduits remote from the flared ends.
COMPRESSION-TYPE FITTING FOR CONNECTING PIPES TO HYDRAULIC OR PNEUMATIC COMPONENTS OR FOR CONNECTING PIPES TOGETHER, PARTICULARLY FOR REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS
A compression-type fitting for connecting pipes to hydraulic or pneumatic components or for connecting pipes together, particularly for refrigeration systems, comprising a fitting body provided with a male thread adapted to be engaged by a female thread of a locking nut, an ogive being interposed between the locking nut and the fitting body, a sealing gasket being provided between the ogive and the fitting body, the ogive being adapted to adhere to the external surface of a pipe to be connected; the locking nut has an internal taper such as to deform, during the tightening action, the ogive and produce a constriction thereof on the pipe to be connected.
