DOWNHOLE EXPANDABLE TUBULAR MEMBERS WITH SEALED RELEASABLE CONNECTION
An apparatus for expanding tubular members in a wellbore, such as casing, liners, sand screens, or other expandable tubular members, includes a first downhole tubular member, a second downhole tubular member that is radially expandable, and a sealed releasable connection coupling the first and second downhole tubular members. The sealed releasable connection is configured to decouple the first and second downhole tubular members by expansion of the second downhole tubular member. The sealed releasable connection had a metal-to-metal seal formed between the first and second downhole tubular members.
GARDEN HOSE WITH METAL SHEATH
A garden hose with an outer flexible sheath of spirally wound and linked turns of sheet material, an inner tube of flexible polymer inside the sheath and end couplers with nipples press fit into ends of the tube and connector mechanisms connecting the couplers to the outer sheath. Each connector mechanism has inner and outer press fit shells at the end of the sheath, with flared ends separated by a washer.
Inner ring
A pipe-connecting device including a resin-made tube and an inner ring. The inner ring has a flared portion and a tip-contracted outer-circumferential flared surface. The tip-contracted outer-circumferential flared surface is press-inserted into an end portion of the tube to cause the end portion of the tube to be flared and deformed. A section shape of the outer-circumferential flared surface in a direction extending along an axis of the inner ring body is formed into a convex curved surface passing through a first place, which is a maximum-diameter portion of the flared portion, a second place, which is the tip end side of the flared portion of the inner ring body, and a third place, which is between the first place and the second place, and in which a diameter is equal to an outer diameter of the tube with respect to the axis.
Pipe connecting device
A pipe-connecting device includes: an inner ring having: an outer circumferential portion having a tip-contracted outer-circumferential flared surface that is to be press-inserted into an end portion of a tube to flare the tube, and an inner circumferential portion constituting a fluid transfer path; a pipe joint body that has a tubular screwing portion having an external thread; and a union nut having an internal thread that is screwed with the external thread. The inner ring including the tube is inserted into the tubular screwing portion, and the tip-contracted outer-circumferential flared surface is pressed through the tube by a pressing portion of the union nut. The pressing portion of the union nut is formed into an inclined inner circumferential surface that is inclined in the same direction as the tip-contracted outer-circumferential flared surface with respect to the axis of the tubular screwing portion.
CONNECTOR FOR CONNECTING CONDUITS FOR LIQUID OR GASEOUS MEDIA
The invention relates to a connector (2) comprising a connector body (5), the connector body (5) having at least one sleeve-type outer casing section (13) which when viewed in cross-section surrounds a central longitudinal axis (8) of the connector (2). At least two passages (33) are formed in the outer casing section (13), the passages being provided for receiving an end section of a locking element (6). The locking element (6) is designed to secure the connector (2) relative to a mating connector (3), and a retaining element (38) for securing the locking element (6) is arranged in at least one of the passages (33). The retaining element (38) is designed as a formed sheet metal part and a separate retaining element (38) is provided for each passage (33).
Piping component having a plurality of grooves
A piping component for a press fitting is provided that includes a body comprising a body inner diameter. A first end includes a first end inner diameter and an inner surface. A sealing recess is positioned between the first end and the body. The inner surface includes a plurality of grooves. The plurality of grooves is integrally formed with the first end and comprises a blunt surface configured for a press fit between a pipe and the piping component. The plurality of grooves comprises a groove inner diameter that is within about ?10% of the body inner diameter and the first end inner diameter. The plurality of grooves includes an angled edge.
Element joint and manufacturing method therefor
The element joint is obtained by joining: a long pipe; a short pipe made of a quality of material having a strength equal to or higher than a strength of the long pipe; and a plate material made of a quality of material having a strength equal to or higher than a strength of the short pipe. In the element joint, at least one member of the long pipe and the short pipe includes a pipe-shaped portion, and the pipe-shaped portion of the one member is pipe-expanded and joined to the other member by press-fitting. The short pipe and the plate material are welded to each other.
Orifice Holder Construction
An orifice holder assembly provides a boss connected by at least one arm to a base having an outlet therethrough. The boss is provided below the outlet. A tube is inserted through the boss until a bead contacts a first boss surface and the tube end is then deflected to form a lip where the lip and the bead connects the tube to the boss. An orifice body is then inserted in the tube end.
Mechanical orientation control heater hose assembly for quick connect
An end-form fitting includes a tube and an auxiliary component disposed around the tube. One of the tube and the auxiliary component is deformed to cause the auxiliary component to engage the tube in order to militate against relative movement between the tube and the auxiliary component. The auxiliary component includes an array of surface irregularities formed therein and configured to engage an outer circumferential surface of the tube to form a corrugated joint therebetween. The auxiliary component is formed to include a radially outwardly extending orientation structure for establishing a rotational orientation of the end-form fitting when being coupled to a complimentary end-form fitting.
EXPANDING WELL TUBULARS INTERCONNECTED BY PIN-BOX ASSEMBLIES OPTIMIZED FOR EXPANSION
A pin-box well tubular connector assembly having pin and box connector members (6, 5) with intermeshing external and internal screw thread profiles is optimized for expansion downhole in a wellbore by: A) configuring the box connector member (5) such that it has at least one thread (10) that does not engage a thread on the pin member (6); and optionally: B) configuring the pin and box connectors (6, 5) such that in axial direction a gap of at least 0.2 mm is present between the external and internal screw thread profiles; and/or C) inserting a swellable dope in the gap between the pin and box connector members (6, 5).
