The device may comprise a second side with at least two male fittings, each configured to threadly interact with threads of a female fitting to create a waterproof seal. A diameter of each two male fitting may increase in size from a first end of the second side to a second end of the second side. The device may comprise a separator rim attached to the second end of the first side and to the second end of the second side.

Double-Shouldered Connection for Drilling Tubulars with Large Inside Diameter
20200408047 · 2020-12-31 ·

A threaded connection for drilling tubulars includes a tubular box section having a sidewall. The box section has a tapered box portion of an inner surface of the sidewall between a first end and a second end. The tapered box portion has internal threads, a first torque shoulder on a first side of the tapered box portion, and a second shoulder on a second side of the tapered box portion. A threaded collar having internal collar threads is positioned between the second end and the second shoulder. A threaded insert having a tubular body with an inner surface and an outer surface having external insert threads is configured for threadably connecting to the internal collar threads. A direction of the internal threads of the tapered box portion is opposite to a direction of the internal collar threads and the external insert threads.

Threaded Connection for Steel Pipe
20200278056 · 2020-09-03 ·

A threaded connection for steel pipe with improved sealability against the internal and external pressures is provided. A threaded connection 1 includes a pin 10 and a box 20. The pin 10 includes a male thread 11, a nose 12, a pin shoulder surface 13, and a pin sealing surface 14. The box 20 includes a female thread 21, a box shoulder surface 23, and a box sealing surface 24. The box sealing surface 24 has a seal point SP on the taper surface 242 located at the midpoint thereof as determined along the direction of the pipe axis CL. The distance L.sub.SP between the tip of the nose 12 and the seal point SP as measured in the direction of pipe axis CL is 13 mm or larger. The shoulder angle between the pin or box shoulder surface 13 or 23 and a plane VP perpendicular to the pipe axis CL is 2 to 13 degrees. The ratio T.sub.B/T.sub.P of the wall thickness T.sub.B of the box to the wall thickness T.sub.P of the pin 10 as measured at the seal point SP is 1.7 or higher.

Screw connection

In order to prevent gap corrosion at a freely accessible face of a threaded connection (1) in particular when used in sea water the threaded connection (1) is encapsulated in a circumferential tight annular chamber (3) in order to prevent a penetration of sea water to the threaded connection (1) and thus prevent the gap corrosion between the two threads (2, b) of the threaded connection (1) meshing with each other. This is achieved by a particularly pressure tight and long service life primary seal (6) and advantageously a supplemental secondary seal (16), in particular for a threaded connection (1) which seals a cable pass through (15) of a housing (22).
