Coupling

A quick-disconnect coupling including a hollow coupler body having opposite open ends and defining an adaptor-receiving socket therein, a gasket housed within the coupler body at a base of the adaptor-receiving socket, the gasket having a sealing ring and a bellows portion, and at least one locking tab connected to the coupler body such that the at least one locking tab is able to pivot relative to the coupler body between a locking position and an unlocking position for purposes of locking and releasing an adaptor to the coupler body.

Slip-on coupling gasket

A method of installing a pipe coupling to connect a first pipe element to a second pipe element includes sliding the pipe coupling as a preassembled unit over an outermost surface of the first pipe element, the pipe coupling comprising a coupling segment and an annular gasket, the annular gasket comprising an annular body and a pair of sealing ribs extending substantially radially inward from the annular body, each sealing rib comprising a sealing ridge defining a sealing surface, the sealing surface of each sealing ridge being coannular in an undeformed state; introducing an end of the second pipe element to an end of the first pipe element to place the first pipe element and the second pipe element in end-facing relationship; aligning the pipe coupling over the first pipe element and the second pipe element; and securing the coupling to the first pipe element and the second pipe element.

Connector for bathtub tailpipe to drain pipe

A seal for a connector is provided for connecting a bathtub tailpipe to a drain pipe. The connector has an inlet end to receive the tailpipe and an outlet end that is mountable to the drain pipe, and has a passage extending therebetween. A seal extends about the passage for slidably engaging the tailpipe in a fluid sealing manner.

Adjustable suction pipe assembly with improved pressure activated seal

An adjustable suction pipe assembly for use in a liquid transfer system including at least first and second pipe members wherein one end of the second pipe member includes a seal member and wherein the second pipe member is frictionally insertable within the first pipe member, the seal member being slidably adjustable along the length of the first pipe member. The seal member is oriented such that a portion thereof extends away from the outside diameter of the second pipe member and sits in a space formed between the engagement of the first and second pipe members. If the fluid level within the supply tank is below the location of the seal member, atmospheric air which may enter the first pipe member at a location above the seal member will force the seal member against the inside diameter of the first pipe member thereby further sealing the connection therebetween.
