HYDROGEN SUPPLY APPARATUS AND SEALING DEVICE USED FOR SAME
A hydrogen supply apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a first connecting member having a first flow path through which hydrogen is supplied and a second connecting member connected to the first connecting member and having a second flow path that communicates with the first flow path. A back-up ring has a first packing portion abutting an inner surface of the first connecting member, a second packing portion abutting an outer surface of the second connecting member, and a connecting portion connecting ends of the first packing portion and the second packing portion. An elastic member is elastically compressible and expandable between the first and second packing portions.
Device for coupling a rigid male endpiece to a flexible female pipe, and production method therefor
A fluid-transfer coupling device designed to couple a rigid male endpiece to a flexible female pipe and to the production method therefor. The device includes a sleeve for gripping around the pipe and locking the endpiece, the sleeve having a radially inner part surrounding an annular sealing lining mounted in abutment on the endpiece; and a metal socket having a tubular portion gripped by the pipe and ending in a collar formed by a radial step which extends in an axial end and has a radial height, the axial end being mounted inside and in contact with the radially inner part and forming the base of a groove receiving the lining, the device comprising means for fitting the sleeve to the collar and comprising a continuous peripheral projection formed in one piece with the sleeve. According to the invention the projection projects radially in abutment against the step aver most of the radial height.
Pressure-energized probe seal for female hydraulic coupling member
A probe seal for a female hydraulic coupling member has both internal and external pressure-energized seals. The outer wall or opposing ends of the seal have one or more pressure-energized seals for sealing between the body of the probe seal and the body of a coupling member in which the probe seal is installed. Annular, L-shaped, T-shaped or angled grooves in the inner wall of the seal form cavities and sealing projections that can be urged in an inward, radial direction by fluid pressure within an associated cavity to increase the sealing effectiveness between the body of the seal and the probe of a male hydraulic coupling member inserted in the receiving chamber of the female coupling member.
HYDRANT SHOE ASSEMBLY
Example aspects a hydrant shoe assembly and a method for assembling a hydrant shoe assembly are disclosed. The hydrant shoe assembly can comprise a shoe body defining a shoe body outer surface and a shoe body inner surface, the shoe body inner surface defining a void, the void defining an inlet end and an outlet end, an opening extending from the shoe body inner surface to the shoe body outer surface, the opening oriented proximate to the inlet end; a harness received in the void, the harness defining a harness inner surface and a harness outer surface, a protuberance extending radially outward from harness outer surface, the protuberance engaging the opening; and a pipe extending into the void through the inlet end, the harness inner surface engaging the pipe.
Undersea Hydraulic Coupling with Multiple Pressure-Energized Metal Seals
A female undersea hydraulic coupling member is equipped with a plurality of pressure-energized metal seals configured to seal between the body of the female member and the probe of a corresponding male hydraulic coupling member in response to ambient hydrostatic pressure and/or hydraulic fluid pressure. Pressure-energized metal seals may also be provided to seal between the body of the female coupling member and a removable seal retainer or seal cartridge. In one particular preferred embodiment, the pressure-energized seals are back-to-back metal C-seals separated by annular seal supports having a generally T-shaped cross section and retained on one or more shoulders in the body of the female member by a removable seal cartridge.
Hydrant shoe assembly
Example aspects of a harness for a hydrant shoe assembly and a method for assembling a hydrant shoe assembly are disclosed. The harness for a hydrant shoe assembly can comprise an arcuate spine, the spine defining a first end, a second end, and a middle region therebetween, the spine defining an inner surface and an outer surface, the spine comprising a first protuberance extending from the outer surface and a first rib extending from the inner surface; a first fastener lug extending from the first end of the spine; and a second fastener lug extending from the second end of the spine.
COUPLING GASKET WITH MULTIPLE SEALING SURFACES
A coupled pipe joint assembly includes a first pipe element defining a first end; a second pipe element defining a second end, the first end and the second end positioned together in an end-to-end facing relationship; and a coupling, the coupling including at least one segment, each segment defining a first end and a second end, the first end disposed opposite from the second end, each first end and each second end defining a fastener hole; at least one fastener, each fastener extending through at least a one of the fastener holes; and a gasket, each segment positioned annular to the gasket, the gasket including an annular body; a pair of sealing ribs each extending substantially radially inwardly from the annular body, and at least one center rib extending substantially radially inwardly from the annular body.
Coupling gasket with multiple sealing surfaces
An annular gasket includes an annular body; an annular body; a pair of sealing ribs each extending substantially radially inwardly from the annular body and having an innermost radial extent; and at least one center rib extending substantially radially inwardly from the annular body, the at least one center rib having an innermost radial extent closer to the annular body than the innermost radial extent of each of the pair of sealing ribs.
