Devices and methods to disintegrate foods
A device to disintegrate comestible articles, comprising: a containment vessel with a floor and generally tubular sidewalls projecting upwardly from the floor, the sidewalls having a central longitudinal axis, a power rotated agitator disposed within the containment vessel above and proximate to the floor, having a rotational axis, and operable to both agitate and disintegrate comestible articles placed within the containment vessel, a power source, configured to rotate the agitator, a support housing which encloses the power source which is structured to removably mount the containment vessel. The containment vessel is canted relative to the motor shaft. Output of the containment vessel is filtered. A resiliently closed opening into the containment is formed in the vessel lid. A food handling mechanism introduces comestible articles into the containment vessel. A support mechanism mounts vessels below a device outlet.
Fruit-squeezing machine
Fruit-squeezing machine with automatic fruit (7) feeder (1) and cutting and squeezing means that have a pair of rotating assemblies of three fruit (7) receiving cups (4) and a cutting assembly (5) with a blade (10) and means for extracting the rinds after squeezing the fruit, and a pair of squeezing balls (6) below the cup assemblies (4). Additionally, the machine has a juice-collecting tray (2) with a fixed? filter (8), and rind-collecting means. The cup assemblies (4) rotate towards the inside of the machine, which has motor means that synchronize the continuous movements of the feeder (1) with the movement of the cutting and squeezing means.
DEVICES AND METHODS TO DISINTERGRATE FOODS
The subject application is directed to a food processing device to extract juice. The device includes an inlet coupled to a disintegrator. The inlet is configured to accept food items and the disintegrator configured to disintegrate food items passed through the inlet. The device further includes a separator that accepts the disintegrated food items and separates out the liquid components from the food item. The device further includes a reservoir that is coupled to the separator for accepting and holding the liquid components. The reservoir includes a translucent member for viewing of liquid levels within the reservoir, and a valved outlet. The valved outlet is configured to allow or prevent the flow of liquid from the reservoir through the valved outlet.
Overhead conveyor and wash system for citrus fruit oil extractor
An overhead conveyor and wash assembly is provided for a citrus oil extractor. In one embodiment, a spray manifold is connected to a drive chain and has nozzles for applying a cleaning solution and water to the extractor rollers. A wiper bar assembly is pendulously suspended from the spray manifold and conveys citrus fruits through the extractor as needed. The wiper bar assembly is moved to a raised position to be retracted to the input end of the extractor. A second embodiment uses a spray manifold pendulously suspended from drive chains and conveys citrus fruit through the extractor as needed and also sprays cleaning solution and water as needed.
Method to increase extraction capacity, power, and efficiency in a juice extraction machine
A juicing machine comprises an electric motor; a variable frequency drive configured to control the speed of the electric motor; a juicing mechanism that has at least one extraction assembly that operates cyclically to extract juice; and at least one sensor that determines the position or positions of the extraction assembly during a cycle.
DEVICE FOR DRAWING JUICE FROM A JUICE CONTAINER OF A FRUIT PRESS
A device for drawing juice from a juice container of a fruit press includes an outlet which is connected to the juice container, has a removal valve and is located above a vessel receptacle. In order to provide advantageous structural conditions, the vessel receptacle forms a holder which receives a hanging bottle by the neck thereof, is supported on at least one weighing cell and is assigned at least one filling level sensor. The removal valve can be activated by a control device, which is connected to an input unit, depending on the measurement signals of the weighing cell and of the filling level sensor.

Citrus fruit pressing device and method for pressing juice from a piece of citrus fruit
A citrus fruit pressing device comprises two pressing elements for performing a pressing action on a piece of citrus fruit, The pressing elements have surfaces for contacting different sides of a piece of citrus fruit to be pressed and are movable with respect to each other in two opposite directions, i.e. towards and away from each other. The pressing device also comprises at least one knife for performing a cutting action on a piece of citrus fruit, through the peel of the piece The at least one knife is arranged at a side position with respect to the surface of the pressing elements for penetrating into the piece from a side which is free from contact to the surfaces of the pressing elements. The at least one knife is arranged at a side position with respect to the surfaces of the pressing elements.
Hand operable juicer
A hand operable juicer having a handle extending from beneath a juice receptacle is described. The handle has a drive link end that couples with a drive mechanism to rotate a drive shaft that extends up through a drive shaft conduit and couples with a pulping crown. Gear and crank type drive mechanisms are described. In some embodiments of the invention, the drive mechanism is configured to provide a rotational advantage, whereby a certain degree of rotation of the handle around the pulping crown rotational axis produces a higher degree of rotation of the pulping crown. The hand operable juicer described is easy to operate and easy to clean.
Method and apparatus for increased recovery of oil from lemons and other citrus fruit using desorption
A two stage system for extraction of oil from whole citrus fruit is provided. The first stage is known in the art and includes a first plurality of toothed rollers which convey citrus as the teeth penetrate and rupture oil glands. The oil passes into a first water pan. A novel second stage uses a second plurality of toothed rollers to continue the penetration and rupturing of oil glands. The second plurality of rollers are positioned in an isolated second pan to partially submerge the citrus. A middle phase liquor with extremely low oil concentration is transferred into said second pan to initiate desorption of oil from the citrus. The desorption technique in one embodiment increases yield by 4% or more. This technique is expected to increase yield even more as the recovery by the first stage is reduced.
