Seal element for a pipe joint

An apparatus for connecting two pipes in fluid communication includes a connector body having opposing open ends, with each open end configured for receiving a free end of a pipe, and a mechanical interlock arrangement for preventing or limiting axial movement of the connector body relative to a free end of a pipe when the free end of the pipe is received in an open end of the connector body. A mechanical seal arrangement provides a metal-to-metal seal between a pipe inserted into one of the open ends and the connector body.

Rigid entry fitting for flexible pipe

A rigid entry fitting configured to form a seal between a flexible pipe segment and a sump wall includes a fitting body having an inner surface defining a tapered opening, an insert received in the tapered opening, a shell received in an opening of the insert, a first pair of gaskets between an outer surface of the insert and the inner surface of the fitting body, a second pair of gaskets contacting an inner surface of the shell and opposite ends of the insert, and a nut configured to engage threads on an outer surface of the fitting body. When the nut is threaded onto the threads, the nut presses the shell and the insert into the tapered opening and presses the first pair of gaskets against the inner surface of the fitting body and the second pair of gaskets against the outer surface of the flexible pipe segment.

Rotary coupling

A rotary coupling includes an annular outer section which has a female end, a threaded portion, and a Z-ring relief. A connector pipe has a connection end, a shoulder, and a seal end. A Z-ring is housed within the Z-ring relief and packing seals are housed within a packing chamber; and a retainer ring is threadably received into the threaded portion of the outer section. The retainer ring receives compression screws there-through, wherein in the engaged position the compression screws urge a packing end of the Z-ring longitudinally against packing seals thereby compressing the packing seals into the packing chamber creating a seal. The compression screws are movable between an engaged and disengaged position in order that in the disengaged position the compression pressure against the Z-ring and packing seals is released by backing off the compression screws without disassembly of the rotary coupling.

Side locking conduit device and joint assembly

A locking pipe joint device employs a center body connector, one or more sealing elements, such as a wiper seal and a sealing ring, a sealing ring retainer, an indicator ring and a retaining cap. In various embodiments, the retaining cap and the center body connector include mating block members that permit sliding bolted connection along an axis perpendicular to the main axis of the center body connector, which allows the retaining cap to tighten the packing arrangement components around an inserted piping or tubing element, and in secure engagement with the interior of the center body connector.

Pipe connector

A retainer is equipped with a regulation segment, which regulates the position of an O-ring placed in an insertion hole, and a prevention segment, which engages with a spool of a pipe and prevents the pipe from being removed from the insertion hole. Moreover, by moving the retainer toward the minus side in the Y direction and attaching it to an attachment segment, the retainer becomes sandwiched between an opposing wall portion and a tube segment in the X direction. Because of this, the number of parts can be reduced and the retainer that regulates the position of the O-ring can be prevented from being moved in the X direction by the pressure of fluid flowing inside the pipe connector in the X direction.

A clamp for repair of a pipe coupling, includes a clamp unit including a side wall with an inner surface, the inner surface having a curvature dimensioned to match an outer curvature of a pipe coupling to be repaired. A coupling on the clamp unit is constructed and arranged to couple a first portion of the clamp unit with a second portion of the clamp unit. The coupling, when secured, operates to induce a radially inward force on the inner surface of the clamp unit. A window is formed as an opening in the side wall of the clamp unit. The window is dimensioned to expose a flange of a pipe coupling to be repaired.

Pipe gripping elements and pipe joint restraints incorporating same

A pipe gripping element has a T-shaped body including an elongated cross member and a base member extending from the cross member. The cross member includes an upper portion and an opposite lower arcuate portion, and the base member includes an upper portion that is slanted relative to the cross member upper portion to define a fulcrum. An elongated, arcuate tooth extends outwardly from the arcuate portion. A pipe joint restraint includes an annular retainer gland, a plurality of pockets circumferentially spaced around the gland, and a plurality of the pipe gripping elements operably associated therewith for gripping and restraining a pipe.

Pipe joint

An annular sealing material seals a pipe joint between a socket and a spigot. The sealing material includes a bulb part which is composed of a first bulb, a second bulb located closer to the inner side of the socket than the first bulb, and a narrow part present between the first and second bulbs. The first bulb is pressed against the inner circumferential surface of the socket. The second bulb is pressed against the outer peripheral surface of the spigot. The second bulb is inclined towards the pipe center from the first bulb in a natural state before it is provided between the socket and the spigot. The inner diameter of the second bulb is smaller than the outer diameter of the spigot in the natural state. The second bulb is extensible in the pipe diameter direction due to elastic deformation of the narrow part.
