Clamping device comprising a collar and a seal
11536401 · 2022-12-27 ·

A clamping device including a collar which has a belt able to be clamped by the reduction of its diameter and a seal disposed inside the belt by being retained axially relative to the collar. The seal is formed in a strip which is wound on itself and whose ends are configured to cooperate together via a sealing arrangement. The seal undergoes a stress towards the inner surface of the belt and is configured to be elastically deformed against the stress to allow the insertion of an annular object between the seal and the belt.

CLAMP WITH INDENTATIONS IN AN INSERT

The invention is based on a tensioning clamp (10) with a tensioning band (12), two tensioning elements (14a, 14b), a pulling element (16) and an insert (18), wherein the tensioning band (12) comprises two ends which are each folded over to form a loop. Each of the loops (20a, 20b) receives a tensioning element and has openings (24, 26). The pulling element (16) connects the tensioning elements (14a, 14b) through the openings (24, 26) of the loops (20a, 20b) and transmits a pulling force applied to tension the tensioning clamp (10). The insert (18) is arranged in a circumferential region of the loops (20a, 20b) between the tensioning band (12) and a binding material, and has a profile with at least two radially inwardly projecting ribs (30a, 30b) extending in the circumferential direction of the tensioning band (10) and a trough (32) formed between the ribs (30a, 30b). A rear side of the insert (18) facing the tensioning belt (12) in the region of the trough (32) forms a support surface (34) for the setting material.

It is proposed that the support surface (34) has at least one recess (40a, 40b) in a circumferential region lying below the tensioning elements (14a, 14b).

CONDUIT COUPLER FOR COUPLING STUB END CONDUITS
20220403961 · 2022-12-22 ·

A conduit joint system securing ends of two conduits together includes first and second conduits having first and second flared ends and first and second liners protruding from the flared ends. The liners are joined together so that the flared ends are opposing and spaced from one another and portions of the liners are between the flared ends. An external coupler is configured to receive the flared ends and includes (i) a first flange receiving portion configured to receive the first flared end, (ii) a second flange receiving portion configured to receive the second flared end, and (iii) a body portion extending between the flange receiving portions and configured to receive the portions of the liners between the flared ends. With the liners joined together and with the external coupler receiving the flared ends, and the portions of the liners, the external coupler secures the first and second conduits together.

Device for axially connecting two pipe elements

A device for axially connecting two pipe elements, including a coupling means with a first coupling means part assignable to a first pipe element, a second coupling means part and an intermediate connecting part arrangeable between the two coupling means parts, wherein a first articulation element formed on the first or second coupling means part is configured to cooperate with a second articulation element formed on the intermediate connecting part, in particular in a positive manner, forming an articulated connection between the first or second coupling means part and the intermediate connecting part, or a second articulation element formed on the first or second coupling means part is configured to cooperate with a first articulation element formed on the intermediate connecting part, forming an articulated connection between the first or second coupling means part and the intermediate connecting part.

Split ring coupling and fitting
11519534 · 2022-12-06 · ·

A pipe fitting has housing portions attached in spaced relation to define non-coaxial receptacles that receive pipe elements. The housing portions are supported on split rings received within grooves in each housing portion. The housing portions are supported in spaced relation in a preassembled state to permit insertion of pipe elements into the receptacles without disassembly of the fitting. The grooves in the housing portions have a floor surface with three surface portions. Two of the surface portions on each groove of each housing portion engage the split rings when the housing portions are supported in spaced relation.

Mounting assembly including two end pieces held fitted by a belt
20220381382 · 2022-12-01 ·

A mounting assembly including two end pieces whose ends are able to be fitted along an axis and a mounting belt disposed around the second end piece in a pre-mounted configuration before the fitting of the first end piece by an opening delimited by a first edge of the belt. The end pieces have respectively a first and a second centering surface able, in the fitted state, to axially overlap and to come into contact to limit the relative clearances of the end pieces. The belt carries a retaining lug which extends outside the belt. In the pre-mounted state, the end pieces are retained in the fitted state by the combination of contact of the centering surfaces and cooperation of the free end of the retaining lug with a bearing surface of the first end piece located on the side of the first edge of the belt.

V-clamp with more evenly distributed clamping load

A v-clamp is used to join tubular bodies having end flanges in order to form a joint therebetween. Such tubular bodies are employed in heavy-duty and moderate and light-duty applications including, but not limited to, industrial, oil and gas, sewage, agriculture, and automotive applications. The v-clamp can include a band, a closure mechanism, and a set of bearings. The v-clamp may furnish a more evenly and uniformly distributed clamping force around a circumference of the v-clamp and to the tubular body end flanges than previously demonstrated.

Self-aligning pipe coupling

A pipe coupling for connecting together the ends of two pipes. The pipe coupling including: a tubular casing for fitting around the pipes; a tensioning system for tightening the casing around the outer surface of the pipes; and a guide member, coupled to and extending away from a first axial end of the tubular casing, for radially aligning and guiding one of the pipes into the tubular casing. Further including an assembly having a pipe coupling and a pipe, the pipe coupling being pre-installed on one end of the pipe, and configured to receive a second pipe.
