A belt has a sealing ring disposed in an annular recess of the belt and two tightening lugs born by the ends of the belt. The edges of the recess form wedging steps for the edges of the sealing ring which substantially occupy the entire width of the recess. The ends of the belt exhibit a sealing arrangement which includes lateral tabs, that are formed at the second end and which extend widthwise on the belt, from one edge of the belt to the recess such that each lateral tab includes a part of one of the wedging steps.

PIPE COUPLING AND ANCHORING SYSTEM
20230304606 · 2023-09-28 ·

A coupling and anchoring system for coupling lengths of pipe and anchoring the lengths of pipe to a structure comprise a pipe coupling having an external peripheral groove defined by axially facing axial clamp engaging surfaces, said groove receiving an anchoring clamp. The anchoring clamp has corresponding axial coupling engaging surfaces for engaging the axial clamp engaging surfaces of the pipe coupling to restrict axial movement of the pipe coupling when the anchoring clamp is fastened to the structure. The anchoring clamp is formed from arced bands having laterally extending connecting portions and laterally extending arced elements. The laterally extending connecting surfaces and arcs combine to form dual fastener openings for optionally receiving fastening elements perpendicular and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the pipe coupling for optionally anchoring the system to perpendicular and parallel portions of the structure. The internal arc radius of the arced bands is comparable to the outer diameter of the external peripheral groove with the laterally extending connecting portions radially remote from the groove so that connection of the laterally extending portions prevents over tightening of the clamp. The coupling has an hour-glass cross section with the peripheral groove located axially interposed between the pipe stops and the clamp engaging surfaces such that the pipe lengths would not be axially coincident with the external groove.

Coupling gasket and bar linkage for friction-fit range reducer

A seal for a pipe coupling can include an outer gasket defining a radially inner surface defining a plurality of grooves; and an inner gasket separably joined to the outer gasket and defining a radially outer surface, the radially outer surface defining a plurality of ridges extending radially outward and including: a first ridge, each of first and second side surfaces of the first ridge angled in cross-section with respect to a radial direction of the inner gasket towards a first axial end of the inner gasket when in an uncompressed state; and a second ridge, each of first and second side surfaces of the second ridge angled in cross-section with respect to the radial direction towards a second axial end of the inner gasket when in the uncompressed state; wherein the radially outer surfaces of the inner and outer gaskets contact each other.

Coupling Having Seal with Retracting Center Leg
20220025998 · 2022-01-27 ·

A coupling for joining pipe elements has segments surrounding a central space with cusps which engage lobes of a seal to maintain the segments in spaced apart relation in a preassembled state. While the coupling is in the preassembled state the pipe elements may be inserted into the central space without disassembling the coupling, and portions of the seal adjacent to attachment members on the segments seat within a channel defined by the segments between the cusps. When the seal is compressed between the segments and the pipe elements to form a joint the seal deforms so as to withdraw a center leg of the seal from the flow path defined within the pipe elements.

CLAMPING SEAT OF TELESCOPIC ROD

A clamping seat of the telescopic rod comprises a pipe seat, a movable clamp and a fixed clamp. The pipe seat comprises an inner pipe space and an outer pipe space to insert the inner pipe and the outer pipe. The pipe seat comprises a side opening beside the inner pipe space and a side space beside the outer pipe space. The movable clamp comprises an arc block beside the side opening, and a screwing member pressing the arc block into the inner pipe space then to press and fix the inner pipe. The fixed clamp comprises a clamping plate in the side space, and a tightening bolt pressing the pipe seat against the clamping plate, allowing the clamping plate to press the outer pipe. Accordingly, the arc block and the clamping plate contact the pipes in a large area to avoid local deformation and prevent damaged together.
