Composite tubes for a fluid transport system

A method and apparatus for reducing an intensity of an electrical discharge that occurs within a fluid transport system in an aerospace vehicle. In one illustrative embodiment, an apparatus includes a transport member. The transport member is configured for use in the fluid transport system. The transport member includes a material configured to reduce voltages and currents, induced in response to an electromagnetic event, along the transport member.

Hybrid waste tube assembly

The present technology is directed to a conductive hybrid waste tube system that comprises tube bodies, tube end fittings, O-rings, coupling sleeves, end fitting adapters and couplings. The tube bodies and tube end fittings are attached and constitute a tube section. O-rings are installed between flanges on the end fittings and the sleeve positioned over the end fittings of adjoining tube sections. If the tubes end fittings are of different designs, an end fitting adapter may be used along with an additional O-ring to provide pressure sealing. The coupling is installed over the completed assembly to prevent the joint from separating. The O-rings/sleeve combination provides the ability for the tube sections to translate and rotate relative to each other while the coupling prevents the joint from excessive translation.

A tubing clamp and method using an inner ring providing shape support to a layflat tubing to provide a compression surface against which an outer split ring with segmented pressure fingers can be compressed using an overcenter clamp to secure a back folded first end of a piece of tubing to a second overlaid tubing end.

Pipe Attachment Clamp

A flange pipe terminus is attached to a mirror image terminus by a pair of pivoting C-shaped collars. The collars are locked after installation by a lever coupled to one collar that engage a radial abutment at the non-hinged end of the other collar. The lever is terminated with a swinging loop that engages a notch in the abutment. Additional security from accidental opening is provided by a secondary lock that blocks the movement of the loop or lever.

Fire hydrant assembly

A fire hydrant assembly for use with an irrigation riser stub may include a generally cylindrically-shaped main body having an open end and a closed end. The open end of the main body has an inside diameter that is sized to slidably receive an end portion of the irrigation riser stub. A seal disposed within the open end of the main body is sized to sealingly engage the irrigation riser stub. A nipple having a threaded end and a plain end is mounted within an opening provided in a side portion of the main body so that the threaded end may be threaded onto a fire hose assembly. An actuator shaft extends through a shaft opening defined by the closed end of the main body so that a head end of the actuator shaft is disposed outside the main body and so that a distal end of the actuator shaft is disposed within an interior cavity defined by the main body. A yoke mounted to the distal end of the actuator shaft is sized to operatively engage a valve stem associated with the irrigation riser stub.

System for reducing band clamp failure

A system and a method for reducing band clamp failure on a multi-piece canister having an at least one first section coupled to an at least one second section by a band clamp, the system and method comprising a band clamp cover, wherein the band clamp cover comprises a cover first section and a cover second section, the cover first section is coupled to the cover second section at a first end by a hinge, the cover first section is coupled to the cover second section at a second end by removable fastener, the band clamp cover having a shape of the multi-piece cannister, wherein the band clamp cover has a channel that encompasses the band clamp.

HYDRO EXCAVATION REMOTE DIG SYSTEM

The hydro excavation remote dig system provides for a primary and secondary dig tube attachments that permit a vacuum truck to be used for a remote dig setup. Specifically, the attachments include various attachable handles, corrugated tubing that connects to a reinforcement bar device with releasable clamps to maintain the corrugated tubing in an elongated state during use, a debris box with an integrated safety valve, and a dig tip.

Damper access assembly, clamp assembly, and clamp member

A clamp assembly is provided for use in a duct system. The clamp assembly includes a clamp member including a base portion and first and second lateral portions. The first and second lateral portions extend less than the full circumferential length of the base portion. The clamp assembly may include a first member, a second member, and a hinge operatively coupling the first member to the second member. A damper access assembly includes an adapter, a damper access duct section, and an annular clamp member. A first flange of the adapter and a second flange of the duct section are configured to form a generally T-shaped joint between the adapter and the damper access duct section. The clamp member is configured to removably secure the adapter to the damper access duct section. The damper access duct section is configured to be removable relative to the damper enclosure and the ductwork.
