The first bonding portion and the second bonding portion are provided to bond the gasket to the spigot portion. The method further includes heating a portion of the gasket and an adjacent surface of the spigot portion and applying a force onto the portion of the gasket following the application of heat to fuse the gasket onto the spigot portion.
Fitting, a method for connecting corrugated tubing to a fitting and use of a fitting
Disclosed is a fitting (1) for use with corrugated tubing (2) having a series of peaks (3) and valleys (4). The fitting (1) comprises a nut (5) having a passage (6) therethrough for receiving the tubing (2) and at least one retainer (7) arranged in the nut (5), wherein the retainer (7) has a retainer sealing surface (8) for placement in a valley (4) of the corrugated tubing (2). The fitting (1) further comprises a body (9) having a pointy annular body sealing edge (10) arranged so that the apex (11) of the body sealing edge (10) is pressed against the retainer sealing surface (8) when the nut (5) and the body (9) are forced toward each other. A method for connecting corrugated tubing (2) to a fitting (1) comprising a nut (5), a retainer (7) and a body (9) and use of a fitting (1) is also disclosed.
Flexible hinge gasket
A method and an annular integral gasket are provided for forming a sealing connection between a first tubular member and a second tubular member. The integral gasket comprises at least one flexible sealing portion adapted to form a sealing connection between a first tubular member and a second tubular member. The integral gasket further comprises a bonding layer adapted to be fixedly attached to a tubular member by a joining process. The integral gasket also comprises a body region adapted for supporting the flexible sealing portion and the bonding layer.
FITTING FOR MEDICAL PIPING SYSTEM
A fitting for use with metal, corrugated tubing having peaks and valleys, the fitting includes a nut configured to receive the tubing; a sealing member for placement in a valley of the tubing, the sealing member including a sealing surface; and an adaptor configured to be press fit into the nut, the adaptor including an adaptor sealing surface; wherein upon assembly, the adaptor is press fit into the nut and the tubing is compressed between the adaptor sealing surface and the sealing surface.
Pipe coupling assembly
A coupler assembly (10) and method of manufacture (10) for use with pipe comprising a unitary annular body (20) forming first and second cylindrical openings for surrounding a pipe or piping sections to facilitate forming a fluid-tight seal therein. The unitary annular body (20) comprises a medial portion (64) formed from a first material having a first durometer and first and second lateral portions (56, 58) integrally connected to opposite ends of the medial portion (64). The first and second lateral portions (56, 58) are made from a second material having a second durometer relatively higher than the first durometer of the first material. The coupler assembly (10) further comprises at least one clamping assembly (26) surrounding the unitary annular body member (20) adapted for compressing the coupler assembly (10) into a fluid-tight seal.
BUSHINGS AND FITTINGS, TUBING ASSEMBLIES, AND METHODS INCORPORATING THE SAME
One aspect of the invention provides a bushing including: a plurality of rigid members defining one or more internal ribs including a first internal rib adapted and configured to engage a corrugation valley of corrugated tubing; and one or more elastic members adapted and configured to: hold the plurality of rigid members in substantially annular configuration; allow the plurality of rigid members to expand to allow a corrugation peak to pass under the first internal rib; and hold the plurality of rigid members against the corrugated tubing so that the first internal rib lies within a corrugation valley. Another aspect of the invention provides a fitting including: a body member defining a sleeve portion; and a bushing as described herein received within the sleeve portion of the body member.
PLASTIC CORRUGATED PIPE DUAL WALL TO CONCRETE MANHOLE SLEEVE ADAPTER
A sleeve adapter for installation over a corrugated pipe is provided. The sleeve adapter may comprise a tubular body, wherein the tubular body may have a smooth outer surface, a first monofilament wire connected by a first one-way clamp, wherein the first monofilament wire may extend around a first end of the tubular body, a second monofilament wire connected by a second one-way clamp, wherein the second monofilament wire may extend around a second end of the tubular body, a flexible elastomer hinge extending around the tubular body, and a plurality of sealing surface fins extending outwardly from an inner surface of the tubular body.
COUPLING STRUCTURE AND GROMMET
A coupling structure includes: a grommet having a tubular part; and a corrugated tube that is to be inserted into the tubular part. The corrugated tube alternately has a crest part and a trough part. The tubular part has a plurality of projection parts each provided to protrude to be annular on an inner circumferential surface, and an annular recess part provided on the inner circumferential surface and alternately disposed with the projection part. The projection part is provided so as to have a larger pitch than the trough part.
Bell and Spigot and Method of Making Same
A corrugated pipe is described herein. The corrugated pipe includes a spigot having a leading face and a trailing end, the trailing end coupled to a pipe body. The spigot extends a spigot distance from the leading face to the trailing end. The pipe includes a liner defining a fluid flow path. The spigot further includes first and second gasket corrugations that are a corrugation length from the front face to a valley of a corrugation adjacent to the second gasket corrugation, the corrugation length less than half of the spigot length. The spigot further includes vent openings defined within the leading face, first and second sidewalls of first and second valleys of the first and second gasket corrugations, respectively, the vent openings extending at least one of transverse or parallel to the fluid flow path.
