Rotary union with expanding ring

A rotary union includes a housing, a rotating machine component supported in the housing, a rotating seal member associated with the rotating machine component, a non-rotating seal member slidably and sealably disposed within the housing adjacent the rotating seal member, an expandable seal disposed between the non-rotating seal member and the housing, and an internal clamp disposed within an end portion of the expandable seal such that the end portion of the expandable seal is compressed between the internal clamp and the bore of the housing.

PLUMBING ASSEMBLY WITH A SWIVEL ADAPTER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A hose assembly for use with a tankless water heater. The hose assembly includes a flexible hose, a first connector assembly, and a second connector assembly. The first connector assembly is fluidly coupled with the flexible hose and includes a first fitting. The first fitting is rotatably coupled with the first connector assembly such that the first fitting is independently rotatable relative to the flexible hose. The second connector assembly is fluidly coupled with the flexible hose opposite to the first connector assembly.

Rotary union with bellows seal

A rotary union includes a housing having a fluid inlet, a rotating machine component rotatably supported in the housing, a rotating seal member associated with the rotating machine component, a non-rotating seal member slidably and sealably disposed within the housing adjacent the rotating seal member, and an expandable seal disposed between and sealably engaging each of the non-rotating seal member and the housing. The expandable seal includes two end portions, one of the two end portions engaged to the non-rotating seal member and the other of the two end portions engaged to the housing, and an expandable portion disposed axially between the two end portions, the expandable portion having an axial length that varies based on a pressure of a hydraulic fluid that is present at the fluid inlet.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DETERMINING RESIDUAL LIFE OF A SWIVEL

A system and method for determining a residual life of a swivel. The method includes determining at least one of an angular rotation, a linear displacement and a rotational direction of at least one swivel and determining rotational count of the at least one swivel based on the determined at least one of the angular rotation, the linear displacement and the rotational direction of the at least one swivel. Further, the method includes indicating a residual life information of the at least one swivel based on the determined rotational count of the at least one swivel. Further, the embodiments herein also provide an electronic device for determining residual life of a swivel.

Extendable spool

An extendable spool is disclosed. The length of the extendable spool is able to continuously varied. The extendable spool accounts for length variances in flow lines by extending the flow line rather than redirecting the flow. Because the flow direction does not make any turns, erosion is minimized on both the extendable spool and downstream parts. The extendable spool is readily scalable from small diameters to large diameters. Because of this, it requires fewer lines and therefore less setup time to account for length differences between large diameter lines.

High pressure swivel system for turret-moored vessel

A high pressure swivel system provides fluid communication on a turret-moored vessel between a swivel core member being in fixed rotational alignment with a seabed mooring system and a swivel revolving member being in fixed rotational alignment with the hull of the vessel. The revolving member has upper and lower radially extending surfaces. On each of the radially extending surfaces are a series of radially spaced apart pressure seals. Hydraulic barrier fluid pressure is regulated in each of the volumes formed between the pressure seals. The pressures in the volumes are regulated such that a process fluid pressure higher than could be tolerated by any one individual pressure seal is safely accommodated by sharing the high process fluid pressure between or among two or more of the radially spaced apart pressure seals.

AXIAL FACE SEAL SYSTEM

A technique facilitates enhanced sealing capability in a space saving format when utilizing a plurality of uniquely constructed seals. As a result, the seals are useful in swivels and other types of structures to provide secure sealing between seal surfaces while reducing the overall seal area. Each seal comprises a body having a seal base combined with lips which may be activated when the activation fluid is supplied under pressure. In swivel applications, the seals may be constructed in a vertical orientation as axial face seals. The vertical orientation of the seals enables construction of the swivel with a reduced cross-section and thus a reduced hydraulic loading.
