STABILIZER ELEMENT FOR A PIPE CONNECTION
For stabilizing a pipe connection, in which a first pipe (10) is inserted into a second pipe (12) that has an insertion funnel (20), a stabilizer element (22) has a clamping ring (24) with several tensioners (48) distributed over its circumference, which in the final assembly position engage in an intermediate space between the first pipe (10) and the insertion funnel (20), and tense the first pipe (10) and the second pipe (12) against each other. The clamping ring (24) is composed of several mutually connectable ring segments, in particular of two half shells (34).
SEAL ASSEMBLY
In one aspect, an unloaded annular flexible seal is provided to receive an end of a conduit and to provide a seal between the conduit and a flange of a machine. The seal has a base having an inner surface, an upper surface, an outer surface, and a lower surface, and a leg having an inner surface, an upper surface extending from the inner surface of the base, an outer surface extending from the lower surface of the base, and a lower surface. A surface area of the outer surface of the leg is greater than a surface area of the lower surface of the leg. In another aspect, the seal is included in a seal assembly that also includes an annular back-up member having an L-shaped cross section, including a back-up member base and a back-up member leg configured to sit in the groove of the flexible seal.
Seismic conduit joint connector
A gripping element includes a body extending lengthwise from a first end to a second end. The body includes a first wall, a second wall extending from the first wall, and a third wall extending between the first wall and the second wall. The first wall, the second wall, and the third wall collectively define a hollow interior of the body. The body also defines an opening at each of its first and second ends. The opening at each of the first and second ends is in communication with the hollow interior of the body to permit an elastomeric material to be received within the opening at the first end of the body, within the hollow interior of the body, and within the opening at the second end of the body.
BATHTUB DRAIN CONNECTION SYSTEMS
A bathtub drain connection system includes a first drain pipe configured to couple to a drain opening of a bathtub and a second drain pipe configured to mount to a floor structure. A drain connector is extends between the first drain pipe and the second drain pipe so that the first drain pipe and the second drain pipe are coupled in fluid communication. The drain connector is configured to allow the first drain pipe to be disposed offset relative to the second drain pipe and in a direction that is substantially parallel to a plane defined by the floor structure.
Tube seal
A tube seal includes a cylindrical tube and an elastomeric seal body molded to the cylindrical tube. The elastomeric seal body includes a pair of seal lip regions extending from opposite ends of the rigid cylindrical tube and inserted into a respective bore of a pair of opposing members for providing a sealing relationship there between. The seal lip regions each include, in an unassembled condition, an axially extending seal lip and a radially outwardly extending seal lip connected to the ends of the rigid cylindrical tube by an elastomeric hinge region.
Lobed exhaust manifold slip joint
An apparatus comprises an engine, an exhaust manifold fluidly coupled thereto, and an auxiliary system positioned downstream of and fluidly coupled to the exhaust manifold. A slip joint assembly fluidly couples the exhaust manifold to the auxiliary system and includes a slip joint male portion fluidly coupled to the exhaust manifold which includes a plurality of lobes positioned on an outer surface of the male portion. The male portion defines a first passageway in fluidic communication with the exhaust manifold. The assembly also includes a slip joint female portion fluidly coupled to the auxiliary system and including a second passageway. The male portion is insertable into the female portion for fluidly coupling the male portion to the female portion. Only the plurality of lobes contact an inner surface of the second passageway. Moreover, the male portion is axially slidable within the second passageway while maintaining the fluid coupling therebetween.
SEALING MEANS, IMPROVED SLIP JOINT APPARATUS AND/OR METHODS OF USE THEREOF
Sealing means are provided that includes a first surface which is arranged to contact a surface of an item in use, and one or more side wall surfaces extending away from the first surface. The first surface and/or said one or more side wall surfaces are arranged so as to allow a degree of pivotable and/or angular movement of at least the first surface of the sealing means with respect to the item surface with which it contacts in use.
Hose connection
A hose connector (1) having a sleeve-shaped union nut (2) which (2) surrounds a sleeve-shaped connector part (3) that is connected to a hose end (4) of a flexible hose line (5) and that (3) has, at its end region oriented away from the hose end (4), an annular flange (6) which (6) bears rotatably against an annular shoulder (7) of a circumferential wall (8), and having at least one sealing ring (9) which is held in a retaining groove (10) provided on the outer circumferential side of the connector part (3) and radially seals an annular gap provided between the connector part (3) and the circumferential wall (8). Between the connector part (3) and the circumferential wall (8), there is provided a clearance that is dimensioned such that the connector part (3) and the circumferential wall (8) can be tilted with respect to one another.
MALE SWIVEL HOSE COUPLING
A male swivel hose coupling includes a hollow tail piece having a receiving portion and a stem and a hollow collar having a threaded portion. The collar is received over the receiving portion and is freely rotatable with respect to the receiving portion. The receiving portion of the tailpiece includes a rim and a shoulder, and the collar includes a lip and a shoulder. The rim of the receiving portion forms a first stopping surface for engaging the lip and the shoulder of the receiving portion forms a second stopping surface for engaging the shoulder of the collar.
