SHAPE MEMORY HOSE CONNECTOR

This disclosure relates to hose connector arranged for joining flexible hoses comprised of a tubular pipe body with at least one insertion portions made of an SMA or other shape memory material that has a memorized shape. The insertion portion is located on at least on one end of the tubular pipe body and has an outer diameter smaller than an interior diameter of the flexible hose in a martensite state. The insertion portion is inserted into the interior diameter of the flexible hose and the memorized shape is recovered with the application of heat, wherein the outer diameter of the insertion portion becomes larger than the outer diameter of the flexible hose sealing the outer diameter of the insertion portion against the interior diameter of the flexible hose.

Tube connector

A tube connector has a connecting member and two tightening sleeves. The connecting member has a circular shaft portion, and two ends of the circular shaft portion respectively have a cone-shaped stud with a threaded section. Each cone-shaped stud has a socket, and the socket has a positioning end larger than an outer diameter of the socket. The tightening sleeves respectively jacket onto two ends of the connecting member, an end of each tightening sleeve has a tapered screw hole, and another end has a through aperture connecting to the taper screw hole.

End connector for high pressure reinforced rubber hose

A swage fitted end connector for high pressure large diameter reinforced flexible rubber hose utilizing sine-wave locking of the reinforcement and particularly suited to the petrochemical and drilling industries. Two embodiments of the connector for use with wire reinforced thin internal tube hose are disclosed: one with a diameter of 3-inches and for burst pressures up to 20,000 psi and the other for a diameter of 5-inches and for burst pressures up to 18,000 psi. All of the connectors will withstand the rated burst pressure of the hose without pumping off or leaking thus any hose that utilizes the device will fail before the connector pops off the hose. The connectors are designed to meet or exceed the new API temperature ranges and new API flexible specification levels which became effective in October 2006.

METHOD FOR CONNECTING A CONNECTION SECTION OF A TUBE FOR FLUID OR GASEOUS MEDIA WITH A PLUG CONNECTOR

The invention relates to a method for connecting a connection section (33) of a hose (3) with a plug-in connector (4). The plug-in connector (4) comprises a connector body (6), which connector body (6) has a ring space (22). In a first method step, the connection section (33) is pushed into the ring space (22) of the plug-in connector (4) of the hose (3) from the hose accommodation side (25) of the connector body (6), and positioned there; in a second method step, a pressing tool (50) deforms the first mantle section (12) of the connector body (6).

The second mantle section (15) has a narrowing (39) at a front edge (38) of the hose accommodation side (25), whereby it is ensured that the connection section (33) of the hose (3) is freely deformed in the direction of the second mantle section (15) during the pressing process, at least in the region of the ring space (22) that is at a distance from the front edge (38), before the connection section (33) of the hose (3) comes to lie against the second mantle section (15).

METHOD FOR CONNECTING A CONNECTION SECTION OF A TUBE FOR FLUID OR GASEOUS MEDIA WITH A PLUG CONNECTOR

The invention relates to a method for connecting a connection section (33) of a hose (3) with a plug-in connector (4). The plug-in connector (4) comprises a connector body (6), which connector body (6) has a ring space (22). According to the invention the projection projects radially in abutment against the step aver most of the radial height.
