Fluid connector with pre-positioned crimping collar
A fluid connection set includes a connector (1), a flexible hose (2), and a crimping collar (5) for fixing the front end of the flexible hose to the connector, the connector including a connector body (10), a tubular nozzle (3), the tubular nozzle including retaining radial projections (31) of the hose as well as a clamping area (30) of the hose, and a temporary accommodation space (4), arranged between the tubular nozzle (3) and the connector body (10), for housing the collar during the operation of inserting the flexible tube, after which the collar is moved with respect to the clamping area and then crimped.
MECHANICAL FITTING FOR PLASTIC PIPE
Spigot device including a spigot formed with exterior gripping teeth and sleeve device to telescope over the spigot. The sleeve device is formed with a radially inwardly opening, distally contracting conical bearing surface which mounts a radially inwardly contractible gripper ring device captive therein, and constructed to be driven radially inwardly by the bearing surface as the sleeve is drawn proximally on the spigot to grip a plastic pipe trapped in the annulus between the sleeve and spigot.
The steps of selecting a spigot device including a distally projecting spigot of a predetermined outside diameter. Selecting a sleeve device formed with a radially inwardly opening interior retainer collar with an interior distally extending and radially and inwardly sloped bearing surface defining a gripper ring cavity. Selecting a gripper ring device which is contractible radially inwardly and inserting in the cavity and retaining the gripper ring device in the cavity to cooperate with the outside diameter to form an annulus for receipt of the plastic pipe and causing the gripper ring device to grip the pipe.
Fuel line connector and method of making
A fuel line connector assembly that includes first and second connectors. The first connector includes a ramp having an inner core and an outer skin surrounding at least a part of the inner core. The inner core extends through the ramp at a location adjacent a radially extending retaining surface for at least a portion of the radial extent of the retaining surface. The second connector has a hook wherein, when the first and second connectors are brought together and secured to each other, the hook inhibits separation of the first and second connectors by bearing again the retaining surface. The first connector is made by coinjection molding a connector body having the outer skin and inner core with the inner core extending through the ramp to a sacrificial portion, and then severing the sacrificial portion from the ramp leaving the inner core exposed at an apex of the ramp.
Device for hose fitting
A system for coupling at least one flexible hose is provided that includes first and second annular connecting elements. In a system mounting position, the second element is inserted partially into the flexible hose and the first element is mounted on the second element to compress the flexible hose. The first element includes a tubular body, and a proximal end having an annular part. The tubular body is divided from the annular part by axially extending openings that form at least two hooking portions with hook-shaped ends. The second element includes a first sealing projection and a second retaining projection formed beyond the first sealing projection. The second projection cooperates with the hooking portions. More specifically, the annular part comprises an annular inner protrusion to form a constriction between a bottom and top of the sealing projection side facing the said first end of the second element.
CONNECTOR WITH APPARATUS FOR RELIEVING TORSIONAL STRAIN ON SEALING ELEMENTS
A connector which relieves a sealing element of torsional strain having a first threaded engagement, optionally, a second threaded engagement, a void therethrough for receiving a tube, and a sleeve positioned between each threaded engagement and the void. The sleeve relieves the tube of torsional strain from rotating the connector.
The method includes selecting a sleeve device to fit over a spigot and an interfitting retainer collar with an interior distally extending and radially and inwardly sloped bearing surface defining a gripper ring cavity. Selecting a gripper ring device which is contractible radially inwardly and inserting it in the cavity and retaining the gripper ring device to cooperate in forming an annulus for receipt of a plastic pipe and causing the gripper ring device to grip the pipe.
HOSE CONNECTION MODULE FOR WATER TREATMENT DEVICE
A hose connection module including a connector having a first side configured to receive liquid and a second side opposite the first side, wherein a plurality of ring-shaped fixing protrusions are formed on an outer circumferential surface of the second side and are spaced apart from each other in a flow direction of liquid, an ejection hose formed of an elastic material and configured to surround the outer circumferential surface of the second side of the connector, and a hollow fixing cap configured to press the water ejection hose from the outside of the ejection hose.
Load bearing flexible conduit
A load bearing flexible conduit system (10) for use in a body of water and adapted for deployment from a reel (100) located on a water going vessel into the body of water is disclosed. The system comprises a number of lengths (12) of load bearing flexible conduit, each length of load bearing flexible conduit provided with an inner layer (44) having a throughbore and a load bearing outer layer (50). A joint (30) for connecting the lengths together has a body having a longitudinal axis and a throughbore and at least one flexible coupling to permit at least one of the said one ends of the respective first and second lengths of load bearing flexible conduit to move relative to the longitudinal axis of the joint. The lengths of load bearing flexible conduit are sufficiently flexible such that they are capable of being stored, prior to use, on a reel (100) and are further capable of being at least partially payed out from the reel into the body of water during use.
Quick-coupling female element
Quick-coupling female element. The female element includes a nipple configured for being fitted into a hose and which is rigidly attached to a hollow body extending along a longitudinal axis and which defines a receiving volume. Radial openings provided in the body along a guide axis emerge into the receiving volume and each receive a lock which is guided in translation between a locking position and an unlocking position. The female element includes an operating ring mounted to slide around the body between a locking position and an unlocking position and which comprises guide grooves which cooperate with pins of each lock. The guide grooves associated with each lock are geometrically supported by a guide plane inclined with respect to the longitudinal axis, so that each lock is driven between the locking and unlocking positions thereof when the operating ring is moved between the locking and unlocking positions thereof.
