Remotely operated connecting assembly and method
A connecting assembly for quick and safe securing of equipment or tools to a wellhead or for connection between wellbore equipment such as wireline tools or coiled tubing tools. The connecting assembly has a top sub that includes a latching assembly containing a hydraulically actuated locking ring and a mechanically actuated locking segment that selectively engages within the bottom sub to operatively connect the bottom sub within the top sub in sealing engagement.

Stop collar attachment
A method of connecting an end part of a pipe attachment device to a part of a function element, includes: aligning longitudinal axes of a substantially tubular end part of a pipe attachment device and a substantially tubular part of a function element; applying a force that moves the end part of the pipe attachment device relatively towards the part of the function element along the longitudinal axis. Contact between the end part of the pipe attachment device and the part of the function element causes each of a plurality of fingers on the end part to elastically deflect. Applying the force so that each of the plurality of fingers on the end part returns from their deflected position and is retained in one or more holes in the part of the function element.

Air brake hose connection
A quick connection device that can connect the air brakes of a semi-truck to the airbrakes of a trailer is disclosed. A coupler plug and coupler body connect together. A securement housing is placed over the coupler connection, to shield the brake connection from road debris and prevent the connection from separating during normal use.

Adapter for an Expandable Hose
An adapter for an expandable hose is an apparatus used to connect an expandable hose to other fluid management tools. The apparatus is also configured to prevent leakages in multi-channel expandable hoses. An objective of the apparatus is to provide a connection for expandable hoses. The apparatus is designed to prevent leakage between expandable hoses and the apparatus. A threaded connector enables attachment of the expandable hose to other hoses. Another unit fits inside the inner channel of an expandable hose, while a third part surrounds the inner channel of the expandable hose. An annular fastener secures the outer channel of the expandable hose to the inner channel. A cover or housing may be added to protect components from damage due to external stimuli. Altogether, the apparatus enables a user to securely attach an expandable hose to a spout, faucet, spicket, another hose, or a variety of other devices.
CONVEX MALE FITTING AND SYSTEMS
Embodiments of the invention are directed to a male connector for establishing a line-seal for transport of fluids between pipes. The male connector is structured to increase a seating pressure of the line-seal. The male connector comprises a male portion provided at one end of the male connector. The male portion typically comprises a conical sealing frustum provided at one end of the male connector, such that the conical sealing frustum comprises convex sides. Moreover, the male connector is structured to be operatively coupled to a predetermined female connector such that the conical sealing frustum forms a substantially line-seal with the predetermined female connector for transport of a process fluid therethrough.
Multi-part line having an insulating element for insulating a transition region between connector assemblies
A multi-part line, wherein line parts are provided, at ends of said line parts, with at least one connector assembly having at least one retaining element, wherein a connector part of the connector assembly of a line part and a coupling part of the connector assembly of the adjacent line part can be or are connected by overplugging and locking the at least one retaining element. At least one insulating element is arranged in the overplugging region of the connector part of the connector assemblies that can be or are connected to each other, which insulating element is designed as an axially compressible closed ring made of a material that has low heat conduction at least in the outer region of the insulating element, which ring has an inner passage opening in order provide insulation in the overplugging regions between the connector assemblies, in which overplugging regions no heating by, for example, the engine of a vehicle or other heat sources occurs, which insulation enables economical and also effective insulation during the operation and also during the standstill of a vehicle and is protected against unintentional or inadvertent removal.
