Tubing Connector for Decreased Contamination
Embodiments of this disclosure include male and female connector parts for connecting elements of a fluid delivery device, the male and/or female elements having one or more resilient, flexible guards that can be moved laterally or compressed axially to avoid interference with coupling the male and female parts. Such connectors can be used to connect tubing, syringes, respirators, and other devices for fluid transport. Such connectors can decrease the likelihood of nosocomial infections.

PERMANENT QUICK CONNECTOR AND ASSEMBLY THEREWITH
A quick connector and assembly therewith is provided. The connector includes a housing having a tubular housing wall with an inner surface extending between open opposite ends with at least one locking opening extending through the wall. The inner surface bounds a through bore and forms a radially inwardly extending shoulder. A retaining member has an annular retainer wall with inner surface sized for receipt about at least a portion of the housing wall. The retainer wall has at least locking member resiliently biased radially inwardly for receipt through the opening of the housing wall in axially spaced relation from the shoulder by a gap, in which the annular collar of the insertion member is received and locked. The at least one locking member is restrained against substantial axial and rotational movement within the at least one opening, and thus, prevents unwanted removal of the insertion member from the housing.

Marine drilling riser connector with removable shear elements
A riser joint connection includes a box connector having a box preload fixture, a pin connector having a pin preload fixture, at least one shear element configured to fit into at least one shear element cavity defined by a box connector shear groove in alignment with a pin connector shear groove, wherein the at least one shear element contacts load surfaces of the pin connector and the box connector.
Interlock pipe connection
An interlock pipe joint includes a first and second tubular member. In some embodiments, an interrupted thread box and pin make up the interlock pipe joint. In other embodiments, a stepped interrupted thread box and pin make up the interlock pipe joint. In other embodiments, a twist-lock box and pin make up the interlock pipe joint. In some embodiments, an external or internal bushing is provided. In a method of operation, the first tubular member is inserted into the second tubular member by an axial insertion followed by a rotation to lock the pipe joint.
LUER CONNECTORS
Luer connector including a primary Luer male connector, having a secondary female section extending from a top distal part of the primary Luer male connector back towards a proximal part thereof, the primary Luer male connector including a first inner fluid flow channel extending from a proximal end thereof to the secondary female section, the primary Luer male connector being configured to mate with a primary Luer female connector having a secondary male section including a second inner fluid flow channel.

Coupling with automatic seal
A conduit coupling can have a male portion and a female portion, with each portion having an internal biasing member. When the male portion is disconnected from the female portion, the internal biasing member in the male portion can cause a seal on a moveable plug to be biased against a lip of a stationary wall member to seal liquid from leaking out of the male portion. Also, the internal biasing member in the female portion can cause a lip of a moveable wall member to be biased against a seal that is connected to a stationary plug. Both the stationary plug and moveable plug can be connected to retaining portions by strips that are disposed away from an axis of the conduit coupling.
Dual-passage, quick-connect fluid couplers with integrated fluid sensors and methods for making and using the same
Presented are dual-passage fluid couplers with integrated fluid sensors, methods for using/making such fluid couplers, and motor vehicles equipped with such fluid couplers. A quick-connect (QC) fluid coupler includes a sensor assembly with a sensor housing containing a sensing device that monitors fluid flow, and a main connector body with opposing inlet and outlet ends having respective inlet and outlet ports. The main connector body contains a sensor chamber attaching thereto the sensor housing, and a primary fluid chamber that extends from the inlet end to the outlet end of the main connector body and fluidly connects the inlet and outlet ports. Interposed between the primary and sensor chambers is a secondary fluid chamber that is fluidly connected to the sensor chamber via a sensor port and to the primary fluid chamber via a bleed port upstream from the sensor port and a merge channel downstream from the sensor port.
