Quick connect coupling with verifier

A quick connect coupling having a female part with a throughbore for receiving a tube having an annular extending bead. A latch is supported in the female part in communication with the throughbore. A verifier is provided in stacked arrangement with the latch. Insertion of the tube results in extending sides of the latch expanding outwardly and likewise expanding the extending sides of the verifier. Upon passage of the bead past the latch, the latch seating in the engaged position, with the verifier held open by alignment with the annular bead. The verifier subsequently being displaced to a fully engaged position to indicate that the fluid coupling is fluidly and fully connected.

SELF-RETAINING PLUG AND COMPATIBLE SOCKET

A plug having a longitudinal axis includes a plug body having a generally flat sealing surface on an axial end thereof, and a protuberance extending from the axial end generally concentric with the longitudinal axis. The protuberance has a first section contiguous with the plug body, and a second section having a hub portion contiguous with the first section and a plurality of generally evenly spaced arms extending outward from the hub portion. An underside surface of each arm faces the sealing surface of the plug body and has a generally flat portion and a ramped nub thereon projecting toward the sealing surface. The plug may be inserted into a compatible socket having tabs and rotated about the longitudinal axis for sealable engagement with the socket.

The present invention provides improved couplings for conduit systems. A male coupling and a female coupling may be mechanically engaged by inserting the male coupling into a receiver in the female coupling until fastening structures are aligned, and then rotating one or both of the male and female couplings until the fastening structures are overlapping and in interfacial engagement. The male and female couplings provide an efficient coupling solution for end-to-end conduit connection and also addresses a leakage problem in conventional irrigation pipe couplers.

The fluid passes through the at least one venturi chamber, thereby drawing the at least one super concentrate chemical component into the venturi chamber, and the concentrated solution mixture is dispensed from the injector assembly into the receiving container.
