Adapter coupling
A combination includes a plurality of segments attached to one another end to end around a central space. A channel is disposed between the sides of the segments. A sealing ring is positioned in the channels. A tube has a first end disposed within the central space. A first protrusion extends radially outwardly from the tube and limits the extent to which the tube can extend into the central space. The combination is configured such that an end of a pipe element may be axially inserted into the central space and fasteners can be tightened to draw the segments toward one another.
Compression couplings
A compression coupling includes a sealing joint for sealingly coupling a pipe to the compression coupling and a restraining joint separate from the sealing joint for restraining the pipe to the compression coupling.

Device for coupling a rigid male endpiece to a flexible female pipe, and production method therefor
A fluid-transfer coupling device designed to couple a rigid male endpiece to a flexible female pipe and to the production method therefor. The device includes a sleeve for gripping around the pipe and locking the endpiece, the sleeve having a radially inner part surrounding an annular sealing lining mounted in abutment on the endpiece; and a metal socket having a tubular portion gripped by the pipe and ending in a collar formed by a radial step which extends in an axial end and has a radial height, the axial end being mounted inside and in contact with the radially inner part and forming the base of a groove receiving the lining, the device comprising means for fitting the sleeve to the collar and comprising a continuous peripheral projection formed in one piece with the sleeve. According to the invention the projection projects radially in abutment against the step aver most of the radial height.

HYBRID METALLIC/COMPOSITE JOINT WITH SEPARATE INTERNAL BEARING
A metallic-composite joint fitting is provided. The fitting may comprise a frustoconical internal bearing having a bore, a conical sleeve configured to be disposed about the frustoconical internal bearing, a composite structure configured to couple between the frustoconical internal bearing and the conical sleeve, a metallic end fitting configured to be disposed within the bore and couple to the frustoconical internal bearing, and an external nut configured to couple to the metallic end fitting and the conical sleeve, wherein at least one of the frustoconical internal bearing or the conical sleeve comprises a flanged portion mutually configured to couple the conical sleeve to the frustoconical internal bearing via a locking ring.
Double shear bonded joint and method for making same
Channel joints (1) can permit bonding a tube or tubular member (30) to an end fitting (20) in double shear. The channel joint may include a receiving channel (25) in the end fitting (20) that is complementary in shape to the tube, tubular member, or other hollow member (30) that is to be fitted and bonded with the end fitting. The use of a channel joint allows for simplified assembly because the receiving channel acts as a reservoir for the bonding agent or adhesive (50). Upon insertion of the tube, tubular member, or other hollow member into the adhesive-loaded receiving channel, the adhesive will backflow to fill the voids in the joint and expel the excess adhesive.
Low torque sprinkler fitting and method of manufacture
A brass fitting is in-molded in a plastic pipe fitting, which is coupled to a water supply line in a conventional matter. The brass insert receives a tapered seal with sealing surfaces that seat against the brass insert and a sprinkler head to form a sealed connection. The seal includes a tapered passageway for compression when tightening, as well as an external taper to allow the seal to conform to the socket formed by the plastic pipe fitting and brass insert. Also, a manufacturing method includes in-molding a brass insert within a plastic fitting using an O-ring which interfaces between the brass insert and surrounding molded fitting to seal the brass insert to the fitting. In one embodiment, the seal is used in a polymeric fitting without a brass insert.

Reinforcement Band For Irrigation Valve
A metal reinforcement band is embedded around the inlets and outlets of a valve to help prevent cracking the plastic bodies of the inlets and outlets. This metal band is embedded in between an outer diameter and a threaded inner diameter of the inlets and the outlets of a valve by an injection molding process.
