Pipe joint and method for forming the pipe joint
Pipe joint, which comprises at least one first pipe section (2), and a sleeve part 5, into which the butt end part of the pipe section (2) is disposed in such a way that the sleeve part (5) extends a distance on top of the pipe section (2) from the butt end of the pipe section that is inside the sleeve, and heating means (7), such as resistance wires. For forming the joint, a joint component (3) is arranged between the outer surface (16) of at least one pipe section (2) and the inside surface (15) of the sleeve part (5), which joint component is configured to form a joint with the sleeve part (5) when the joint area is warmed with the heating means (7), and that a collar (6) is arranged on the pipe section (2), which collar comprises a detent surface (10) for the joint component (3). The invention also relates to a method for forming a pipe joint.
COMPRESSION COUPLINGS
A compression coupling includes a sealing joint for sealingly coupling a pipe to the compression coupling and a restraining joint separate from the sealing joint for restraining the pipe to the compression coupling.
Composite tube
A composite tube comprises a first tube section 100 and a second tube section, at least one of which is of fiber reinforced composite form, a mating interface being provided on each of the first and second tube sections, each of the respective mating interfaces having an interfering portion to create an interference fit between the first and second tube sections when the composite tube is assembled, each of the mating interfaces being configured with a recess the recesses being alignable with one another, during assembly, to define a combined recess when the composite tube is assembled, into which a hardened settable compound can be disposed during assembly to form an internal locking element that assists the interference fit by mechanically securing together the first and second tube sections.

LOW TORQUE SPRINKLER FITTING AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A brass fitting is in-molded in a plastic pipe fitting, which is coupled to a water supply line in a conventional matter. The brass insert receives a tapered seal with sealing surfaces that seat against the brass insert and a sprinkler head to form a sealed connection. The seal includes a tapered passageway for compression when tightening, as well as an external taper to allow the seal to conform to the socket formed by the plastic pipe fitting and brass insert. Also, a manufacturing method includes in-molding a brass insert within a plastic fitting using an O-ring which interfaces between the brass insert and surrounding molded fitting to seal the brass insert to the fitting. In one embodiment, the seal is used in a polymeric fitting without a brass insert.
Connecting device for media lines
A connecting device for media lines, having a housing part, which is formed in two parts from a receiving part for plug connection of a media line and from a connecting part for connecting the housing part to a unit or an additional media line. The connecting part is connected to the receiving part via a coaxial rotationally symmetrical plug connection with form-fitting engagement and with a peripherally closed line progression. The connecting part is inserted with an insertion projection into a plug receptacle of the receiving part, wherein the insertion projection reaches with a radially outward protruding catch step in a form-fitting manner behind a radial undercut surface inside of the plug receptacle.

DEVICE FOR COUPLING A RIGID MALE ENDPIECE TO A FLEXIBLE FEMALE PIPE, AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
The invention relates to a fluid-transfer coupling device designed to couple a rigid male endpiece (30) to a flexible female pipe (20) and to the production method therefor. The device comprises: a sleeve (10) for gripping around the pipe and locking the endpiece, the sleeve having a radially inner part (18) surrounding an annular sealing lining (50) mounted in abutment on the endpiece; and a metal socket (40) having a tubular portion (41) gripped by the pipe and ending in a collar formed by a radial step (43) which extends in an axial end (44) and has a radial height, the axial end being mounted inside and in contact with the radially inner part and forming the base of a groove receiving the lining, the device comprising means for fitting the sleeve to the collar and comprising a continuous peripheral projection (13) formed in one piece with the sleeve. According to the invention the projection projects radially in abutment against the step over most of the radial height.

POLYMER PIPING ASSEMBLY
A polymer piping assembly comprises polymer pipes interconnecting into a drain-waste-vent system. The polymer pipe is fabricated from a polymer, such as polyvinyl chloride. The polymer pipe is effective for joining with at least one metal pipe in the drain-waste-vent system. The polymer pipe includes a longitudinal length, at least one deviation, a cavity, and at least two termini. The pipe termini have a small terminal lip rather than a hub. The lip has a substantially smaller flare than the hub facilitating coupling to other polymer or metal pipes. The polymer pipe has substantially the same diameter as metal pipes for facilitated coupling to metal pipes. A coupling portion encompasses the termini of adjacent pipes. The coupling portion includes an outer shield, an inner gasket having a protruding ridge. At least one fastener tightens and loosens the coupling portion around the pipe termini.
