PLASTIC COOLANT FITTINGS FOR HYBRID MODULE APPLICATIONS

A plastic coolant fitting for a hybrid module includes an upper coolant tube with a first straight section and a rounded section, and a lower coolant tube with a second straight section fixed to the rounded section by spin welding. The rounded section may include a ring-shaped groove and the second straight section may include a ring-shaped protrusion installed in the ring-shaped groove. Prior to spin welding, the ring-shaped groove and the ring-shaped protrusion may include respective complementary trapezoidal cross-sections.

ELECTROWELDABLE SADDLE-TYPE FITTING AND RELATIVE WELDING METHOD

An electroweldable saddle-type fitting having a saddle-type wall that defines on opposite sides a convex surface and a concave surface is provided. The wall has a predetermined curvature radius able to be coupled with the curvature radius of the heat-sealable pipe section, and is associated with a first electric wire winding, associated with the convex side and bearing a first pair of electric terminals arranged on the concave side for the application of an electric current for heat fusion of the saddle-type wall. The fitting also has a cylindrical sleeve made of heat-fusible material, provided with a further electric wire winding bearing a further pair of electric terminals for the application of an electric current, and are arranged on the concave side of the wall. The further electric wire winding is arranged on the inner surface of the cylindrical sleeve to apply an electric current for heat fusion of the cylindrical sleeve on a heat-sealable by-pass pipe.

Hand-securable sprinkler fitting

A coupling for an irrigation system may have a first member and a second member, each of which has threads that engage a threaded fitting of an adjacent component. The first member may have a shank and a flange that has a greater exterior dimension than the shank. The flange may have a first locking extension. The second member may have a bore that receives the shank such that the second member is slidable along the base member between a locked configuration in which rotation of the second member about the centerline induces rotation of the base member about the centerline, and an unlocked configuration, in which the second member is rotatable about the centerline independently of rotation of the base member. The second member may further have a first recess that receives the first locking extension in the locked configuration.

Riser cap and irrigation piping system using same

A polymeric riser cap member includes a central tubular section defining a generally cylindrical bore for receiving a sprinkler riser, the central tubular section having open top and bottom ends, and an annular skirt coaxial with the central tubular section and having an inner diameter larger than an inner diameter of the central tubular section. The annular skirt has an inner surface having internal threads threadably connectable with the externally threaded surface of a tubular riser adapter member of a tubular coupler. The bottom end of the central tubular section has an annular projection disposed opposite and spaced from a portion of the annular skirt. The riser cap member includes an annular recess adapted to receive a seal located in a wall extending laterally between the annular skirt and the annular projection.

An isolation valve unit with a fusion outlet including a valve body comprised of a metal, such as brass, and having at least two ports, at least one of the ports including an overmolded thermoplastic end surrounding and enclosing the port from which the fusion outlet extends. In one embodiment, the thermoplastic end is composed of a PP-RCT material and is securely formed over the port by way of an over molding technique. The valve unit further includes a ball valve accommodated within the valve body and a handle for actuating the ball valve. The isolation valve unit is configured to couple to a larger polymeric pipe and to control the flow of fluids in a plumbing system via actuation of the ball valve.

PIPING SYSTEM FOR AIR CONDITIONER

A piping system for an air conditioner that includes a refrigerant pipe that is formed of a plastic material and has a multi-layered pipe structure including an outer layer and an inner layer. The piping system provides a fluid flow between parts constituting the air conditioner system. A first flange formed of the plastic material and providing a connection between the refrigerant pipe and components constituting the air conditioner system. A second flange formed of the plastic material and connected to a charging valve for injecting a refrigerant into the refrigerant pipe.
