Automatic flow restrictor for a water distribution system
10989346 · 2021-04-27 ·

An automatic flow restrictor for a sprinkler head. The flow restrictor includes a first disk and a second disk. The first disk and the second disk move relative to each other so as to take a first orientation where water being pumped through a main line tubing member is free to pass through the flow restrictor and exit out the sprinkler head with little resistance to flow, and a second orientation where water is restricted from passing therethrough. The first disk includes a top surface and a bottom surface. The first disk further includes a plurality of apertures extending directly between the top surface and the bottom surface. The second disk includes a top surface and a bottom surface. The first disk further includes a plurality of apertures extending directly between the top surface and the bottom surface, wherein a fan blade is aligned with each of the plurality of apertures.

A petroleum pipeline safety system for preventing contamination of an environmentally sensitive area close to a pipeline includes an upstream portion of the pipeline supplying a flow of fluid material, a crossing portion of the pipeline receiving the flow of fluid material from the upstream portion and conveying the flow of fluid material through the environmentally sensitive area to a downstream portion of the pipeline, the downstream portion, a pipeline pressure activated valve selectively capable of blocking the flow of fluid material from entering the crossing portion based upon a change in pressure within the crossing portion, and a fluid capacitor connected to the upstream portion configured to filter out a pressure spike in the upstream portion associated with the valve blocking the flow of fluid material.

Check valve assembly

A check valve assembly for a supply pipe. The check valve assembly includes a hinge pin, a first flapper, and a second flapper. The first flapper is pivotally coupled to the second flapper with the hinge pin. The check valve assembly also includes a stopper located between the first flapper and the second flapper. The stopper is configured to limit movement of the first flapper and the second flapper. The check valve assembly further includes a plate assembly located downstream of the stopper. The plate assembly is configured to break vortices formed in a fluid flow across the first flapper and the second flapper.

Hot Swappable Fracking Pump System

A pump connection point to a fracturing manifold includes a valve configured to isolate the fracturing manifold from an outside fluid source. A connector is attached to the valve opposite the well fracturing manifold. A guide is attached to the connector. The guide configured to align a fluid line to mate with the connector.

Retractable fitting having a stopcock

A retractable fitting with a stopcock has a stopcock housing for connection to a pipe or process chamber. The housing has a connection opening into the pipe or process chamber. A shut-off body is rotatable about a pivot axis relative to the stopcock housing, and has a passage hole that merges in an open state of the stopcock into the connection opening of the stopcock housing, the connection opening being closed by the shut-off body in a closed state. A support element in the passage hole is introduced in the open state through the connection opening into the pipe or process chamber. A plurality of flushing lines are operable to conduct a flushing medium, the plurality of flushing lines being accessible from outside of the stopcock and being connected to and/or opening into the passage hole of the shut-off body at least in the closed state of the stopcock.

Detachable system to shut off pressure flow in pipes

Systems and methods for shutting off or stopping fluid flow through a pipe are provided. An inflatable bag stopper assembly is inserted through an opening into the pipe. The assembly includes one or more inflatable bags with each inflatable bag having a check valve positioned at an inlet. In inflatable bag stopper assemblies of two or more inflatable bags, the inflatable bags are connected in series. The inflatable bag stopper assembly is inflated such that the inflatable bag or bags act or serve to obstruct, block, close, or otherwise effectively foreclose passage of the fluid through the pipe.

Line blocker

An igniter 40 activated blocking device 10 blocks a fluid line 4 adapted to carry fluid. The blocking device 10 has a housing 30 disposed about the fluid line, a piston 20 housed in the housing, and an igniter 40 that when activated propels the piston 20 to block the fluid line 4. The igniter 40 generates a shock wave to move the piston 20 to block the line. The piston 20 crushes or squeezes a portion of the line 4 to close the line.

PIPE APPARATUS, PIPE SYSTEM, AND METHOD OF DETECTING A LEAK IN A CONDUIT

There is described a pipe apparatus having two circular coaxial layers, inner and outer, defining an annular gap therebetween. At least one segmentation ring with a predesigned opening is placed within the annular gap. The pipe system is composed of interconnected pipe apparatuses of the same type. Compact wireless stations are embedded in the segmentation rings within sealed predesigned openings forming a wireless information and communication network (WICN). Each segmentation ring incorporates a pressure relief mechanism. When a layer of a given pipe apparatus breaks and fluid leaks into the annular gap in a given segment, the segmentation rings surrounding that segment temporarily retain the fluid and the WICN is disturbed in the affected area. At least one external central unit monitors WICN activity and integrity inside the pipe system and detects such leakage, before the leak spreads to another segment of the pipe system, without reaching the outside environment.
