FIRE-PROTECTION TAPE
A fire-protection tape (22) to be placed into gaps (12) in walls or ceilings (10) of buildings has at least two plies (24a, 24b) composed of an intumescent material, wherein the plies (24a, 24b) have a first longitudinal edge (26a, 26b) on one outer side and a second longitudinal edge (28a, 28b) on an opposite outer side, in each instance, wherein the plies (24a, 24b) are flexibly connected with one another.
Fire seal end cap and associated multi-member assembly and method
A multi-member assembly including a first structural member, a second structural member opposed from the first structural member, a crossover seal positioned between the first and second structural members, wherein the crossover seal defines a bore, and an end cap including a cap portion and a plug portion protruding from the cap portion, wherein the plug portion is at least partially received in the bore such that the cap portion bridges the first and second structural members.
CONDUIT SEALING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF INSTALLING THE SAME
An embodiment of the present invention provides a cable pathway sealing system for sealing a cable pathway having a through-hole through which an underground cable is inserted, and an installation method therefor, the cable pathway sealing system comprising: a body formed of an elastic material inserted in the through-hole; an adaptor including an elastic material, wherein the outer surface of the adaptor is in close contact with the inner surface of the body and the inner surface of the adaptor surrounds the underground cable; a front pressure plate provided on one end portion of the body; a rear pressure plate provided on the other end portion of the body; a fastening portion which is inserted through the body, the front pressure plate, and the rear pressure plate, and presses the body and the adaptor through the pressing of the front pressure plate and the rear pressure plate; and an adaptor selector which measures the outer diameter of the underground cable inserted in the through-hole and guides the adaptor that is suitable for the measured outer diameter of the underground cable.
SELF-OBSTRUCTING FLAMMABLE FLUID CARRYING CONDUIT
The present invention is directed to improved assembly for transporting flammable fluids. In an example, the assembly comprises a conduit, a liner, and a core. The liner comprises a material that contracts in response to an elevation in temperature. In an example, the liner comprises a material that expands in response to an elevation in temperature.
Apparatus and method for inhibiting propagation of a flame front
An apparatus includes a foreline for conveying a waste stream which is drawn from a process chamber to a pumping mechanism. The foreline comprises an isolation valve for selectively isolating the pumping mechanism from the process chamber and a bypass positioned around the isolation valve. The apparatus further comprises a controller for actuating the isolation valve. The controller is configured to cause the isolation valve to be closed when the waste stream is initially drawn from the process chamber, during which time the waste stream is conveyed to the pumping mechanism via the bypass. The bypass includes means for inhibiting propagation of a flame front therethrough. The controller is configured to cause the isolation valve to be opened once a pressure within a region upstream of the isolation valve has been reduced below a value at which propagation of a flame front within the waste stream can be sustained.
TEST PLUG FOR SPRINKLER ADAPTER
A test plug for use with a sprinkler adapter or a fluid supply piping outlet is provided. The test plug includes a winged head to operate the test plug and a post member that protrudes from the winged head and engages with the sprinkler adapter or the fluid supply piping outlet.
Fire protection element having bimetal
A fire protection element can be used for sealing a combustible body, which penetrates an opening in a wall or ceiling, in the event of a fire. The fire protection element has a belt- shaped carrier from the edge of which tongues protrude transversely to the longitudinal direction of said carrier. The tongues are connected to the belt-shaped carrier, at least a significant proportion of the tongues are formed of a bimetal, and the tongues can move in one direction under the effect of heat. A fire protection material is applied to at least one side of the tongues. Furthermore, a method can be used for sealing a combustible body, which penetrates an opening in a wall or ceiling, in the event of a fire.
