Combination pipe seal and grips
A pipeline plug includes a pressure head; a seal assembly; a seal expansion ring; a plurality of gripper bodies, a sliding gripper, and an actuator. Each gripper body is coupled to the seal expansion ring. Radial expansion of the gripper bodies supports radial expansion of the seal expansion ring. Additionally, radial expansion of the seal expansion ring supports radial expansion of the gripper bodies. The sliding gripper is slidingly coupled to a radially outer surface of the gripper body.
Activation system for pipeline plug
A pipeline plug includes a plug body. The plug body includes an outer housing. The interior of the outer housing defines a pressure vessel. The pipeline plug includes a pressure head coupled to the plug body, a seal assembly, a gripper assembly, a movable head, and an actuation mechanism. The actuation mechanism includes a leadscrew, the leadscrew coupled to the movable head. The actuation mechanism includes a captive nut, the captive nut positioned within the pressure vessel. The actuation mechanism includes a motor, the motor operatively coupled to the captive nut and adapted to rotate the captive nut.
Valve removal method of fluid pipeline structure, fluid pipeline structure, and valve device
A valve removal method of a fluid pipeline structure, which removes an unnecessary portion of a valve device from a connection port portion side of a pipe without flow disruption in the fluid pipeline structure that detachably includes the valve device including a valve body, which is openable and closeable from a direction intersecting a flow path axis of a connection port portion, on the connection port portion side of the pipe connected to a fluid piping system includes a valve body fixing step of fixing the valve body at a closed valve position to the connection port portion side in a sealed manner; and a valve component removing step of removing other unnecessary valve components of the valve device in a state where the valve body which is fixed in a sealed manner is left on the connection port portion side.
Piping structure and process and pipe construction method
A piping structure and a process, with which it is possible to form an opening in a pipe while preventing shavings produced from cutting from entering the pipe. A process for forming an opening in a pipe, including: a step of enclosing the pipe with a case divided in a circumferential direction R of the pipe; a skin formation step of cutting an outer surface of the pipe with a cutting tool arranged in the case, thereby forming a bottomed groove, which is formed as a skin, on the pipe; a suction step of sucking shavings produced from cutting, together with a gas in the case in order to remove the shavings; and breaking the skin to form the opening after performing the skin formation step and the suction step.

PIPE ISOLATION DEVICE WITH BLEED SYSTEM
A technique is provided for isolating a pipe during maintenance or servicing of the pipe. The technique may utilize a control bar head having a coupling feature for coupling with a control bar. The control bar head also has a bleed passage extending therethrough to the coupling feature and thus to the control bar when engaged with the control bar. Additionally, the system may comprise a first sealing head slidably engaged with the control bar head. The first sealing head may comprise a first seal element and a first sealing head bleed passage extending therethrough to the control bar head. The system also may comprise a second sealing head slidably engaged with the first sealing head and having a second seal element. The first sealing head bleed passage may be arranged to extend to a region between the first sealing head and the second sealing head to facilitate bleeding of this region.

Test valve assembly with extraction mechanism
A pipeline has a fitting with a wedge-shaped plug pressed into a wedge-shaped fitting recess by a retaining ring to block flow through the fitting for pressure testing. The plug has an extractor plate fastened to the plug through a center of the retaining ring so the retaining ring can rotate relative to the plug and extractor plate. But the extractor plate is a predetermined maximum distance from the plug and is larger than the center opening of the retaining ring to captivate the retaining ring between the plug and extractor plate. That limits the retaining ring motion along the port's axis. Threading engagement between the retaining ring and port allow the retaining ring to push the plug into the fitting in a first rotation direction while rotation in the opposite direction allows the retaining ring to push the extractor plate and the connected plug out of the fitting.
PIPE ISOLATION DEVICE
A pipe isolation device and method of using the same. The pipe isolation device includes a control bar head, a first sealing head, and a second sealing head. The first sealing head has a first seal element and a first sliding engagement. The first sliding engagement permits the first sealing head to slide relative to the control bar head along a first fixed path and traverse a right angle to gain access to an interior space of a pipe. The second sealing head has a second seal element and a second sliding engagement. The second sliding engagement permits the second sliding head to slide relative to the first sealing head along a second fixed path and traverse the right angle to gain access to an interior space of the pipe.
