FASTENING DEVICE FOR A HEAT-SHIELD PANEL
A device for securing at least one thermal protection mat to an internal fixed structure of a nacelle includes at least one removable fastening element for securing the at least one thermal protection mat to the internal fixed structure designed to be arranged between the mat and the internal fixed structure. The device includes at least one gripping element connected to the removable fastening element to project relative to the mat on the opposite side to the internal fixed structure, the removable fastening element being intended to be detached from the internal fixed structure by a pulling force exerted on the gripping element.
Low thermally conductive spacer for hot and cold feedline insulation
The invention provides improvements on thermal performance of multilayer insulation for hot and cold feedlines. Insulation on feedlines has always been problematic, and can perform ten times worse than tank insulation contributing as much as 80% of total system heat leak. The poor performance of traditional MLI wrapped on feed lines is due to compression of the layers, causing increased interlayer contact and heat conduction. The MLI performance is not only much worse than expected, but also difficult to predict. Spacer structures are presented which provide a well-defined, accurately characterized support between the thermal radiant barriers in a multilayer insulation. The invention provides a robust, structural insulation that is much less sensitive to wrap compression and installation workmanship allowing for more predictable, higher performance insulation structure.
INSULATING PRODUCT
The invention relates to the use of an adhesive in particulate form for securing a facing to a main surface of a mineral wool blanket.
NONWOVEN COMPOSITE FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE APPLICATIONS REQUIRING LOW FLAMMABILITY, SMOKE, AND TOXICITY
A nonwoven composite for high temperature applications requiring low flammability, smoke, and/or toxicity, including a fibrous structure having one or more nonwoven material layers including a fiber matrix. The fiber matrix is formed from inorganic fibers in an amount of about 60 percent by weight or greater. The inorganic fibers in the fiber matrix are adapted to withstand temperatures of up to about 1150 C.
INSULATION SYSTEMS AND DEVICES
An insulation system for an aftertreatment system includes a first insulating element including at least one slit, and a second insulating element including a plurality of fingers extending from opposing sides of an aperture. The second insulating element is couplable to the first insulating element, and when the second insulating element is coupled to the first insulating element, the plurality of fingers overlap the at least one slit.
Reusable hose bundling sleeve
A reusable hose bundling sleeve having hooks and loops attached to an elongated section of material. The loops have a portion that extends beyond an edge of the elongated section and the portion of the loops has an identifiable portion.
Heat-insulation sheet, electronic device using same, and method for producing heat-insulation sheet
A heat-insulation sheet includes a first silica xerogel layer, a second silica xerogel layer, and a composite layer. The first silica xerogel layer includes a first silica xerogel, and the second silica xerogel layer includes a second silica xerogel. The composite layer is located between the first silica xerogel layer and the second silica xerogel layer, and includes at least one type of unwoven fabric fibers, and a third silica xerogel. The third silica xerogel is located in a spatial volume of the unwoven fabric fibers.
Mineral wool product
A mineral wool product comprises mineral fibers bound by a binder resulting from the curing of a binder composition comprising a phenol-formaldehyde-based resin, and/or a carbohydrate containing component; a hydrophobic agent comprising (i) at least one silicone compound, such as silicone resin; (ii) at least one hardener, such as silane; (iii) optionally, at least one emulsifier; as insulation of a metallic structure, said structure having an operating temperature between 0-650 C.
Surface treatment for tape adhesion and ultraviolet stability
A surface-treated polymer film is disclosed. The film has a polymer substrate having a first surface and an opposing second surface and a primer applied to the first surface of the substrate. The primer is a cross-linked acrylic polymer or other suitable polymer. A method of insulating a surface with an insulation material constructed from the surface-treated polymer is also disclosed.
MODULAR VACUUM INSULATED PIPING
A modular, aerogel-based vacuum insulated pipe section comprising an outer conduit; an inner conduit concentrically disposed within the outer conduit with aerogel insulation and a condensable gas being disposed in the insulation space between the concentric conduits. As a stand-alone pipe section, the insulation space is at a pressure within the range of from about 100 microns Hg to about 1000 microns Hg. However, in operation, when a cryogenic fluid is traversing the inner conduit, the condensable gas condenses and the pressure within the insulation space is further reduced to range of from about 1 microns Hg to about 5 microns Hg. The vacuum insulated pipe section further includes a coupling arrangement disposed on a first end of the inner conduit and a second end of the inner conduit, the coupling arrangement configured to engage or mate with a corresponding end of another modular vacuum insulated pipe section.
